One day, two lies revealed

Obama Lie #1: In his address to a joint session of Congress, Obama said, “One more misunderstanding I want to clear up – under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions.” That is a lie and it was confirmed in a Senate vote today when the Finance Committee rejected a Republican proposal to tighten restrictions on abortion.
The bill would have prevented tax dollars to be used to fund health care plans that fund abortion. The Democrats voted down the proposal stating that private insurance plans that cover abortion would be required to segregate money, taken from private premiums, to cover the procedure. This, however, completely ignores the fungible nature of money. Segregating dollars taken from private premiums is absolutely meaningless if the plan is tax subsidized. Ultimately, if tax dollars are paying for some fraction of an abortion they are paying for abortion. Today’s vote places in stark silhouette Obama’s lie. Under the current plan, tax dollars will absolutely, positively be used to fund abortions. This is beyond debate.
Obama Lie #2: Obama has claimed over and over that his plan would not cover illegal aliens. Technically, he is correct in that House and Senate bills prohibit health insurance from being given to illegals. Still, the Democrats have done everything in their power to create back doors that make it easy for illegal immigrants to gain access to health insurance. More news today…
Senators working on a health overhaul have rejected a Republican move to require photo identification for federal health benefits.
Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa said his amendment would have helped cut fraud in health care programs for low-income people. It would have required applicants to present a government-issued ID when applying for Medicaid or the children’s health care program.
You have to have an ID to drive a car, get on an airplane, cash a check, to buy a beer or to buy a pack of smokes. You don’t need an ID to get health care insurance under Obamacare. Anyone who doesn’t believe this is a backdoor for illegal access to health care services is deluded. Obama knows this and is, therefore, lying when he leads Americans to believe that illegal aliens will not be covered under his plan. Joe Wilson was right.

You ought to try to get health care in Mexico if you’re not a Mexican National. If it’s anything serious – if you have to stay overnight – you have to pay ahead of time. Surgeons require payment ahead and so do hospitals. If you are a Mexican National you can get health care from the IMSS (Mexican Social Security Hospital) only if you are working and your employer pays for it. If you are working under the table or for some other reason your employer is not paying their IMSS payments for you, you are out of luck. As soon as you go to work your employer issues you a statement which proves he has paid it. That’s your ticket into IMSS hospital. And the men I have hired in Mexico have told me that the IMSS physicians are nothing like the private physicians who you have to pay. Far inferior.
