Where does Money come from?

The citizens of Detroit know…

Yeah, I know we visited this subject last week but it’s always good to hear our fellow citizens express themselves.

“The older dictators fell because they could never supply their subjects with enough bread, enough circuses, enough miracles, and mysteries. Under a scientific dictatorship, education will really work’ with the result that most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution. There seems to be no good reason why a thoroughly scientific dictatorship should ever be overthrown.”

    The corollary to Huxley…

“The most dangerous man, to any government, is the man who is able to think things out for himself… Almost inevitably, he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable.”

    – H. L. Mencken

The synthesis of Huxley and Mencken….

A successful dictatorship ensures the people are fat, dumb and happy which, of course, is what Brad’s post is all about.

Dumb and Happy are clearly on display.

The specific point of the post was to illustrate how real income confiscated from citizens by use of force is known only as “Obama Money”.

This is GREAT news!! Now Obama has a chance of winning the Nobel Prize in Physics for making money appear out of nowhere!!!

    [sigh]

An engineer at work voted for Zero because he wants public healthcare. His mother and mentally slow sister are uninsured. I suspect they are living on public assistance.
He informs me if he insured them, it would cost $1,000 per month.

When quizzed, he admits he doesn’t know much about the healtcare proposals, but thinks costs will come down if government controls it.
He “hears” Canadian healthcare is great. He also thinks more regulation is required to prevent greedy bankers from collapsing our financial system. When asked if government is corrupt, whether politicians are greedy, or government interference by assuming risk from private industry is the cause, he doesn’t agree. I had to explain “public option” won’t give me the option not to pay.

He lives in quite a nice large house with his non-working wife and baby. She’s intelligent and could easily be a webpage designer or do any number of things from home, but she’s content to live a luxurious life free from toil watching movies, reading, and sewing.

Before public welfare, families would be responsible for their own. Other countries have multi-generations in a household. I know if my mother were ill or poor, I would not hesitate to have her live with me. Now it seems everyone dumps their responsibilities on the public.
I don’t think having the public assume people’s responsibilities is desirable for a family and work oriented, stable society.

We have a debt money system. Money is created from debt, not value.

Look for a video called Money as Debt. It is a good vid that really explains a lot. Also The Money Masters is a good history on this.

Obviously the Obama Nation and liberals for that matter who support socialism need to understand the Laffer Curve on taxation:

    The Laffer Curve:

A curve which supposes that for a given economy there is an optimal income tax level to maximize tax revenues. If the income tax level is set below this level, raising taxes will increase tax revenue. And if the income tax level is set above this level, then lowering taxes will increase tax revenue. Although the theory claims that there is a single maximum and that the further you move in either direction from this point the lower the revenues will be, in reality this is only an approximation.

That interview reminds me of a commercial for a law firm in Los Angeles from 15 or so years ago where the law firm advertized that it would represent people in lawsuits for a variety of injuries. It’s targeted demographic was poor blacks and hispanics as all the testimonials about the law firms efficacy were from blacks and hispanics. The final testimonial was from a man gleefully smiling as he said, “Get all you can!!!”

And we wonder how people can keep on voting in the John Conyers, Maxine Waters, and Charlie Rangels back into Congress.

I’d question the guy out of work for a year in a half. Why? What are you holding out for a management position somewhere? So stand in line for bread crumbs?

Why all this is going on, why doesn’t Obama correct the Federal work force and cut the waste there. They make twice as much money per hour for the same work done in the private sector.

Comic relief for the day is found at Shit my Dad says…

“I wanted to see Detroit win. I’ve been there. It’s like God took a shit on a parking lot. They deserve some good news.”
