So where the hell is the vaccine?
October 21, 2009
When did we first start hearing about the pig flu? Last winter? So where the hell is the vaccine?
H1N1 flu is running rampant throughout the U.S., and the country will have received only 25 percent of the vaccine that was expected by the end of October, Sen. Joe Lieberman told a Senate committee hearing Wednesday.
The grim news was the focus of a special hearing of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, at which three Cabinet secretaries were called to address the panel: Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Education Secretary Arne Duncan.
As of last week, there were more than 5,000 cases of flu reported, compared to 7 cases in October of last year. More than 800 people have died from H1N1, including 86 children, according to the latest reports from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Whether you believe H1N1 is a threat or want a shot isn’t really the issue here. The issue is that we have a government that for nine months has been telling us that the pig flu is a crisis. We have a government that, during that time frame, spent hundreds of billions of dollars. Yet here we are, well into the flu season and the one big god damned government health services responsibility is all FUBAR. They had one important task and they have screwed it up royally.
Welcome to government health care America. If you allow government to take over health care you deserve whatever you get.

I think that perhaps members of the Nation of Islam are trying to SAVE US from the vaccination aka a “Soft Kill Weapon”.

Ive never had a flu shot and never will. Ive never had the flu. But in due time, this will all be blamed on the private sector for not being able to provide quickly enough the vaccine. It will be amazing to watch this unfold smack dab in the middle of a potential government take over of health care, drumming up more support. Just my prediction, which Im sure is a no brainer for many of the readers of this great blog

It was the government’s responsibility to get the vaccine delivered and it si the government’s failure.
I usually get a vaccine. I had the real hard core flu once. That was enough to make me never want to get it again.

“the Nation of Islam are trying to SAVE US from the vaccination”
But, but, but… Obama is president!
“We got us a black man in the White House! It’s the Black House now! We gonna turn it around, turn it around!”
Not so fast says Farrakhan….

Dass right! Brother Farrakhan must continue to struggle against The Man, regardless of the fact that he’s a black man who Brother Farrakhan praised as a Messiah sent from Allah during the election.

I had H1N1 about 2 weeks ago (brought home by my daughter for us all to share). As the flu goes, it wasn’t that bad, but I have a pre-existing condition of asthma and it set me off big time. I spent a night in the hospital (first time in 25 years) and I was on oxygen for the rest of the week. I’m still not over it.
The fact that the government has fucked up delivery of the vaccine is gawdamm obscene. This is not a technical issue, this is not a manufacturing issue, this is a fuckup because the Obama administration didn’t make this high enough on the agenda because it was focusing on Cap & Trade and Obamacare. These retards couldn’t organize a circlejerk at a Turkish whorehouse, let alone plan and run the nation’s health care. If Obamacare passes, you better believe that H1N1 will be the least lethal experience you have.

It shouldn’t be government’s responsibility to deliver vaccine. If you want the shot, you pay some clinic to get it.
Now if HHS got involved, disrupted what private enterprise would normally do, and didn’t deliver, that’s a different matter.

This shot was taken in Milwaukee where people waited for hours in the rain to get a flu shot.
