It’s been a year since the Election and the Republican Party STILL doesn’t get it
November 9, 2009
It’s been just over one year since the American people awarded executive power to a radical Communist. In spite of the long lasting damage that has been deliberately inflicted on this Nation with malicious intent on the part of our Congress and the White House there are plenty of people who are screaming loudly because they haven’t fully slammed a wooden stake through the heart of our future. Make no mistake, we are close to losing this Nation as we know it to be constructed and were raised to believe it to be and any prosperity we believed we and our future generations would enjoy.
Though I have taken a lot of encouragement from the recent election results I do not see reason for any protracted celebration of this good fortune. It’s not because I want to be a buzz-kill it’s just that we can’t be distracted from the game over a couple of good plays. Nonetheless I cannot discount the power of any morale boosting engagement after many months of nothing but very bad news that only seems to get worse.
Most disturbing to me is the realization that the conventional wisdom being displayed by the bigger voices within the Republican Party at this time will not be sufficient to win them a leadership position against the Democrats nor will it be worthy of conservative support. With all due respect to the views expressed by Newt Gingrich in defense of the reasoning behind which he based his support for Scuzzy Flav-o-Flav in the skirmish known as NY23, it is exactly that kind of reasoning that has become the undoing of the Republican Party. Evil is Evil and you can’t make friends with it. Newt should have learned that lesson during his introduction to Catholicism.
Somehow Newt believes that his religious views should be divorced from his political decisions. That may be the popular view that somehow seeped into his head as his mind became disconnected from his heart due to his occupation, but that isn’t how things work in the real world. A man is known well only when he is known as a man who supports his words and expressed convictions with deeds. Words have appeal when they are expressed with passion and conviction but when they are not consistently followed with deeds then a man becomes known as a liar or a hypocrite, either of which is despicable. When lies and hypocrisy becomes tolerable because it may bring power one should question what the source of that power is. When you discover the source of that power, whether or not you have already made your deal with the Devil you should consider the effects that power is always used to produce and fruits it consistently bears.
Newt is an antique, a defective one at that.
I say that because he has failed to realize that the strategies of yesterday do not apply to the battle we face today. He defends his belief that dispassionate partisan loyalty will somehow produce positive results. Dispassionate everything is exactly the problem. The people on the other side who are about the business of destroying this Nation are VERY passionate about what they are doing and THEY are actually sticking to their guiding principles when they do it. Somehow the rubber heads in the Republican Party think that cooperating and compromising with people of that nature is something to be admired. I can assure you that I have no admiration for the Republican Party. They betrayed me when they betrayed the principles I came to identify them with back in my early teens. Back then we had a President who was unambiguous when he called Evil by its name and he won great battles for the future of this Nation by NEVER compromising with it. That was only Twenty Five years ago. In the space of one generation the Republican Party has become saturated with such kinder, gentler representatives that is seems that the strongest among them are our women.
I draw specific attention to the efforts of Congresswoman Michelle Bachman. I have a natural love for girls from Minnesota to begin with but Michelle really does it for me. She’s got bigger balls than the combined testicular weight of many of her male counterparts. When she put out the word to the American People for a “House Call” on Capitol Hill on rather short notice, that was a defining moment. There are few things as embarrassing as inviting people to a party and nobody shows. Congresswoman Bachman put out the call with rather short notice by unconventional means for people who, for the most part have jobs and might consider that taking time off during hard economic times isn’t a wise decision. Minnesota girls aren’t afraid to throw a party on short notice because they know that only the cool people will show up anyway and in the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes people don’t need much of an excuse to party. In Washington D.C. a politician risks much when they make a direct appeal to the people. If the people fail to respond you lose a lot of credibility. Politicians don’t like risking anything, especially their image. What Michelle Bachman did was act on her passion that was driven by her convictions. People connect with that and respond to it because it is sincere.
At the other end of the spectrum you have Florida Governor Charlie Crist. It wasn’t that long ago when he was standing on the podium with President Barack Obama in Tampa, praising the efforts of the Obama Administration as defined in the economic “Stimulus” plan. He said that he wanted to do everything he could to insure that the State of Florida get as much cheese as possible. Now that he is running against Marco Rubio for the Senate seat vacated by RHINO Mel Martinez, he talks about how he will fight wasteful spending and help restore fiscal responsibility to Washington D. C. It’s ridiculous. Nobody can take the man seriously because they know he has no passion and no convictions. He says one thing and does another. Somehow the fact that he puts an “R” after his name is supposed to make him something different than what he is.
Nonetheless, as the year 2010 rolls along Republicans are going to expect to attract the Conservative Vote and many of them are anything but conservative. They are going to play the name game and they are going to sound like broken records. If the big pieces of the Obama/Communist (one in the same) political agenda become Law, then we will need something much more lively than a “Conservative” political force in the upcoming election. I will not support any candidate who doesn’t pledge to join with others to undo the tyrannical legislation that is coming into being as I write this. It will not be enough for a candidate to say; “I will fight government spending” in the upcoming election. I’m going to have to hear a candidate pledge to defund huge numbers of government programs, block the proposed healthcare legislation, should it be voted into Law from ever being implemented. The same goes for Cap & Trade. The same goes for Immigration Reform. The same goes for any FCC, FTC, IRS rules and any other invention created by a governing body designed to limit Free Speech.
The same will apply to any action taken by this government that infringes on any of our God-given Rights as declared in our founding documents regardless of when it was established or who is responsible for establishing it. The current government has decided to make an all-or-none play against the Liberties enshrined in our Constitution and Founding Documents because they have declared them to be “Defective”. Because they have decided to go “All in”, then it’s not enough to simply win the hand. When they lose the hand they are playing after being the one to go “All in” we need to take all their chips and make them leave the table. That’s the way the game is supposed to be played.
It will not be enough to stop our enemies from advancing. The only thing that is going to allow this Nation as we know it to continue to survive is to turn back the forces that have been advancing our self-destruction and beat them and their Godless nonsense from the Laws that govern us. The only other alternative is to have Laws that are so nonsensical that they cannot govern because most people with an ounce of common sense won’t be governed by them.
The reason that I can accept nothing less from anyone who expects to win my Vote is because my physical survival depends on it. The outcomes of the December election here in Florida and the election in November of 2010 are going to seriously affect my future, for better or for worse. The 2012 election is light years away as far as I’m concerned and the long term damage that will be inflicted on this Nation that will have the greatest impact on my survival will have occurred long before then. The Newt Gingrich approach to political support based on the letter that follows a persons name is as passé as fighting terrorists with Cold War military strategies. The John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Chuck Hagel, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Charlie Crist, (the list goes on and on) type Republicans that are scattered throughout Congress do not have the convictions, intellectual constitution, integrity or passion that is needed of our elected leaders to insure the survival of this Nation. It’s just that simple. Liberal Democrats are never going to change but liberal Republicans have got to go.
How is it that my physical survival is so threatened by the upcoming elections that I cannot silently endure them? It’s because I’m one of those Americans whose income barely keeps a roof over my head, basic utilities (less a phone, cable TV and internet access) food and medical expenses paid. I have no disposable income. I blew the engine in my truck months ago and get rides to and from work, which is good because I can’t afford fuel for my truck right now anyway, much less replace the engine. The only break I get is during winter when I get to save Two Hundred Dollars a month on electrical consumption. I barely get by from paycheck to paycheck and I have no idea how many more of them I’m going to have. My work depends on the health of the construction industry and things are grim. Anyone who foresees a change in these conditions in the next year are just grasping at anything that will help them feel better. Loss of my income will force me to immediately choose between applying for unemployment compensation and every financial assistance program I am eligible for. Living in da Hood, being a disabled veteran and whatnot will help insure gubment assistance falls into place, or I could choose to be homeless (but not tentless) at Galts Gulch. The current legislative path this Nation seems to be on insures that I will be faced with one of those two choices real soon.
Readers Note – I am currently engaged in a work entitled “Mad Brads Guide to surviving the Pockeelypse”, hopefully to be available exclusively here at The Real Revo in a timely manner and before I am forced off the grid.
Obviously you can see that Option Number Two of the choices I will be faced with is one that has been given serious consideration after I have done my part to help collapse the economy by being on the public dole. I will do my part by making receipt of public assistance an act of resistance. A Communist System collapses under its own weight. I’ve played Rugby a time or two and I understand how the proper use of weight can help win a game.
It is a sad note to realize that but our future will only be survivable by those who can foresee and prepare for the worst, hope and pray for the best but in reality that’s the way it has always been. To believe otherwise is a simple luxury and illusion people can afford to engage in during the times of plenty. Based on the economic policies enacted by our government in the past year, the only thing we can look forward to having plenty of is suffering. Worse than that, future proposed legislation will only increase this suffering. In many ways our current government is far more menacing to the American People than our many foreign enemies who declare their destructive intent every day with bombs and bullets. That is why the upcoming elections will, without a doubt play a major role of influencing my physical survival in the immediate and easily foreseeable future.
In so many ways the 2012 election doesn’t even concern me. Our fate will have been decided long before then. The President and most of Congress have chosen not to hear the protests of citizens who oppose further federal intrusion, consumption and destruction of their lives, liberties and the various pursuits from which they derive happiness. It is clear that none of the elected representatives who are engaging in this destruction care about getting re-elected. They are part of a cause that began long before they were born and their only goal is to advance its existence long after they are gone. This cause did not exist at the founding of this Nation and it is borne of foreign ideals. It is Evil to its core and Evil is the only thing it has ever championed. This Nation has been suffering under its evil influence for a very long time. The choice in the upcoming elections isn’t between Republican and Democrat, it is between Good and Evil, forces that cross party lines. The letter behind the name of any candidate in an election means very little this day and age.
When the Laws of this Nation have become so oppressive, stifling, offensive, burdensome, nonsensical and downright evil that it robs people of their stable existence, then those Laws will be ignored. No Law will be considered as moral or relevant when it stands in the way of personal survival. Those Laws will be nothing more than the catalyst for a general breakdown of civil society. I have come to the conclusion that the current efforts of our government are being deliberately formulated with that in mind. They want American Society split into two groups they can manage. They want one group of people who are dependant on the government for their survival and far from threatening their existence they help to perpetuate the expansion of political power over their lives. They are good Slaves. The other group they are working to create are citizens who choose to live in disobedience to them and their Laws. History shows them how the use of force is the most effective means of dealing with that group and they have plenty of means for using it. That is the future our government is trying to shape for us. There is no other conclusion any reasonable person can come to if they give it much thought.
There it is. That is our situation. It’s not one of our choosing but it is what it is and no less. The time for happy talk is long over. There is a lot riding on the elections that take place between now and 2012.
I have described the situation currently faced by the Conservative Red Army as the Battle of Stalingrad. This is no Waterloo by any means. We have retreated before an enemy advance to the extent that we can retreat no more. Before we can begin to advance we have to quit retreating therefore we can be thankful that we have water to our rear, enemy to our front and fortifications to defend in. Winter will be here soon. When it arrives we will have an advantage. Advantages can only be exploited by the prepared. We will be tired but we cannot rest. We will be cold but we will keep ourselves warm by moving continually. The beginning of an election year is a time for the enemy to rest and re-supply, therefore we must deny them that opportunity.
This can only be accomplished by breaking out of a defensive position and going deep to encircle the enemy. We had them encircled last week, it’s not hard to do but as was demonstrated, Leadership is required. Milk Toast Republicans do not have any Leadership ability within them capable of executing the required encirclement. As a student of military history Newt Gingrich knows that Marshal Zhukov made no compromise with Field Marshal Von Paulus nor was compromise made with Soldiers who would not advance into the enemy. The choices were clear because they were the only ones that existed in that situation. Von Paulus said that there are no desperate times, only desperate men with desperate choices. Only the most desperate were the ones to surrender but they had to be made that way.
After Von Paulus surrendered there was a long march of bloody battles until Berlin. No compromise was made along the way. There was no room for moderates in either opposing Army. Moderates don’t move an Army forward. Conservatives will be choosing their leaders wisely and in order to be a leader you have to be capable of Leadership. Generals who have lead us into retreat are not worthy of commanding an advance. The only thing that will rally troops at this point is spirited and passionate leadership that exhibits conviction and aggressiveness. Considering what all is at stake that is the least we can expect from anyone who has the gumption to ask for our Vote in ANY election.
