The left is objectively pro-fascist

Bonn – October 10, 1981: President Reagan watched as warhead of a dummy missile, in the controversial “Peace” rally against stationing of U.S. missiles in Europe. Banner at right reads “Get out of NATO.” Tens of thousands started to march through the capital city in the biggest demonstration in West German history.
On the anniversary of the day the Berlin Wall fell it is worthwhile to take a moment to remember all of the leftist protesters on both sides of the Atlantic. These people held the philosophy of Pope John Paul II in contempt, opposed to the policies of Reagan and Thatcher and did everything in their power to support the goals of the Soviet Union. Had they been successful in achieving their goals, 100 million people would have remained behind the Iron Curtain for years – perhaps decades – longer. They were the the friend of tyrants. They were “useful idiots.”
Of British pacifism during World War II, George Orwell had this to say…
Pacifism is objectively pro-Fascist. This is elementary common sense. If you hamper the war effort of one side you automatically help that of the other. Nor is there any real way of remaining outside such a war as the present one. In practice, ‘he that is not with me is against me’. The idea that you can somehow remain aloof from and superior to the struggle, while living on food which British sailors have to risk their lives to bring you, is a bourgeois illusion bred of money and security.
Orwell was right then, he was right in 1981 and he is right today.

RD the reason why many young people had and many still have negative opinions of Reagan and Thatcher is that the socailist, anti-war, anti-nuclear intelligencia were/are embeded in the media and controlled and shaped opinion in the news and popular entertainment.
Just as many of these same media people portrayed “Dubya” as a bumbling fool, they fail to see or understand strategy and policies which weaken Tyranny.
I beleived much of the Media views of Reagan, Thatcher and Bush and only discovered the truth for myself online.
That Reagan and Thatcher’s “Star-Wars” policy casued the USSR to collapse under financial ruin, and eventually led to those its once held by the USSR iron grip to break free, totally escape many of these “useful idiots” who were cheerleaders for Marxist Statism.
I believed Bush policy was insane with his “bring it on” challenge but Al Queada obliged and got smashed in Iraq and I had to recognise that reality.
Yet many fail or refuse to accept such facts even world changing events happen before their own eyes.
Thanks to the Internet and Blogs like your won RD, the near monopoly of socialists leaning media to shape opinion, are being made irrelevant.
By combating alot of the socialist proporganda and by giving simple idividualism and truth an audience, you, we, are doing our small part for freedom too.

He was right in 1984, too. (Though I’ll concede that it is a brave new world, also) A hybrid dystopian future/present.

In The Ambition and the Power (p. 486) John Barry reports how House Speaker Jim Wright (D., Texas) reacted to President Reagan’s speech at the Berlin Wall:
