U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda, two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News.
Investigators want to know if Hasan maintained contact with a radical mosque leader from Virginia, Anwar al Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen and runs a web site that promotes jihad around the world against the U.S.
In a blog posting early Monday titled “Nidal Hassan Did the Right Thing,” Awlaki calls Hasan a “hero” and a “man of conscience who could not bear living the contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own people.”
According to his site, Awlaki served as an imam in Denver, San Diego and Falls Church, Virginia.
The Associated Press reported Sunday that Major Hasan attended the Falls Church mosque when Awlaki was there.
The Telegraph of London reported that Awlaki had made contact with two of the 9/11 hijackers when he was in San Diego.
Well, it isn’t like he said something offensive like he opposes gay marriage. Had he done that, he probably would have lost his commission and medical board certification.

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — The U.S. Homeland Security secretary says she is working to prevent a possible wave of anti-Muslim sentiment after the shootings at Fort Hood in Texas.
Janet Napolitano says her agency is working with groups across the United States to try to deflect any backlash against American Muslims following Thursday’s rampage by Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim who reportedly expressed growing dismay over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Obviously the Department of Homeland Security knows where the real danger is.

If this asshat would have blown a doob or received a DUI, he would have been drummed out of the Army. Frankly, if he was a evangelical Christian talking to Israeli agents they would have arrested him. Since he falls into the category of “oppressed minority” he can attempt communication with al Qaeda without so much as a counseling statement.

It’s amazing to watch the PC left and some republicans twist and contort to keep their multiculural myths alive. The sad part is that they still don’t get it. If the trajectory of collective awareness in the UK is any indication, the US still has a long way to go before it realizes that Islam has/is/and always will be at war with the US.
In the UK, it’s taken 7/7, Richard Reid, the Glasgow bombing, attempts at nightclub bombings, a 2006 attempt to blow up airplanes using mixed chemicals, repeated exposes on a significant portion of Mosques preaching hatred, Islamic bookstores shown to be selling hate-filled books, Imams and clerics openly preaching hatred and violence towards the British, harassment of British troops, riots, threats of riots and violence, Muslim gang violence against Britons, and much more for British leaders to figure out that Islam is problematic.
Even then the Labour govt. and BBC are still scared as to giving offense to Islam.

Ole’ Tater isn’t the brightest star in the solar system but he has two questions:
1. Since this Fort Hood Mulsim killer of Americans was getting paid big bucks $$ for his professions, why was he living in a dump and driving a cash for clunkers vehicle? Another words, where was his moeny going?
2. Was his money going to the Iman in the Falls Church, Va. group and later being “moved” out of the country to, say Al Qaeda?
3. If one of these questions can be answered, will the AG of the United Socialists States of America (recently acquired) prosecute this orgainization under R.I.C.O.??

This from CNN. J. Foster is a soldier who was wounded at Ft. Hood. Mandy is his wife. Foster is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan. She sums up how wildly fucked up it is to demand soldiers at home be unarmed.

Within the United States Military today, official definitions of sexual harassment include expressing reservations about women in combat or making note of gender-normed scores in PT tests. So if you argue that chicks aren’t as physically strong as men, you are in trouble soldier. Just don’t do it.

Tatersalad, that sticker belongs to my Dad. I bought his truck last December. My family is Marine Corps so I had to rebel and distinguish myself as an Army Paratrooper (82nd Abn. Div. 325th Infantry Regiment 82-86).
Now those years and those numbers you’ve got tell quite a tale. I got to hump that ‘60 for a while, when I was in a Scout Platoon. We’ve ALL still got it. It’s a good thing too because we’re going to need it.

If the FBI knew about Hasan and did nothing about it, then it raises some disturbing questions;
What does it say about the quality our ‘Intelligence’ services?
If they knew about Hasan and were using Hasan as ‘bait’ to ensnare other Muslim terrorists, how could they sacrifice 44 of our own troops?
Are they mired in political correct Newspeak, preventing them from seeing what’s really in front of them?
Are they prevented from doing their job because of the fear of being prosecuted by a administration inimical to the Military and Intelligence services?
or most frighteningly, have Islamic jihadists infiltrated our Intelligence, Military, and government at the highest levels?
I hope and pray the answers aren’t a combination stemming from these questions because if it is as I fear, then we can expect more terrorist attacks on US soil ranging in severity from individuals like Hasan, large scale attacks like Mumbai and Beslan, and even WMD attacks.
The only answer I can come up with is to prepare yourself and your loved ones for any potential Islamic terrorist attack. It’s clear that we Americans are on our own and can NOT rely upon the US government to protect Americans at any level.
