We have already established that global warming causes acne, camel deaths, an invasion of giant oysters, kidney stones, fashion disasters and and end to equal rights around the world. In addition to those horrors, you must now bear the burden of the knowledge that your Escalade is driving poor women to prostitution.
The effects of climate change have driven women in communities in coastal areas in poor countries like the Philippines into dangerous work, and sometimes even the flesh trade, a United Nations official said.
Suneeta Mukherjee, country representative of the United Nations Food Population Fund (UNFPA), said women in the Philippines are the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change in the country.
“Climate change could reduce income from farming and fishing, possibly driving some women into sex work and thereby increase HIV infection,” Mukherjee said during the Wednesday launch of the UNFPA annual State of World Population Report in Pasay City.
In the Philippines, small brothels usually pop up near the coastal areas where many women perform sexual services for transient seafarers. Often, these prostitutes are ferried to bigger ships by their pimps.

The article talks about Filipinos overpopulating their coastal regions and exceeding the carrying capacity of their marine environment. I have no doubt that is happening.
It’s laughable to accept global warming is responsible. I think sex is responsible.
I don’t know where the picture came from, but those women are well fed.

I agree James. Those gals are certainly not skipping any meals. The way I see it, “global warming” must be producing enough food in that area so nobody goes without. Yep, these are healthy girls.

Wow, global warming causes prostitution? Well, that destroys my theory about the primary cause. I always thought that the reason there were women willing to sell their bodies for sex was that there were a significant population of men willing to pay for sex from those women.
