House Republicans take a fresh look at Lois Learner

She ain’t out of the woods yet.

Two top Republicans involved in crafting tax legislation asked the Department of Justice to take another look at embattled former IRS employee Lois Lerner.

Peter Roskam (R-Ill.) and Kevin Brady (R-Texas) wrote a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions requesting a “fresh look” into evidence against Lerner, The Hill reported.

The legislators, who sit on the tax policy-writing ways & means committee said a new probe of the IRS would help restore taxpayers trust in the institution.

President Obama’s justice department decided against filing charges against Lerner or anyone else involved in the alleged targeting.

Yeah, probably less smug these days, huh?

This would be a prayer of mine answered.

There is none so worthy of righteous justice then one who uses a privileged to advance their own fortunes at the cost of the trust entrusted to that position by the people.

Lois Lerner was untouchable as long as Obama was in office. It reminds me a lot of the other things that have changed since Obama left and Trump took over.

This would be a prayer answered. I despise bullies and she is the worst kind. She hid behind her strong uncle and caused real damage to people and the process. How many lost faith in the system because she was allowed to harm the public trust with no recompense?

I can tell you it affected me. It was not just Lerner. It was Obama, Holder, Rice, both Clintons, Jarrett, Koskinen, Lynch, and, I’d say Comey. They are all bullies, they are all crooked, and they all worked against the American people. Lerner was a small fish but she should be tried and convicted. The other, bigger, fish should as well.

It is only if there is some payment on their part that Americans like me will feel that this new administration is worthy of any trust.

The Obama years were a big gamble for the progressive democrats. They pulled off a lot during those eight years but they didn’t get it to the point where American voters couldn’t put them in their place. I am proud of us for doing it.

It had a deep impact on me, as well. I gave up on any pretense of Justice left in our system.

As soon as Trump got elected, the first day after, he said he wasn’t gonna prosecute Hillary because they were friends and he didn’t want to hurt her. I don’t trust that fucker any further than I could piss on him.

He’s been better than I expected, but I’ll NEVER trust him.

Yes this targeting of TEA party groups and others was a major turning point for me regarding confidence in the rule of law and so called “checks and balances” of our system.
I am certain that there are career deep state establishment republicans that felt threatened by the TEA movement who supported her efforts as well.
