New York Times Opinion Writer Is Sad…

… No one outside the New York – Washington corridor cares about their invented Russia collusion charges. The stupid thing about this is, like any Democrat, he is blaming someone else. In this case a dead man.

“No One Cares About Russia in the World Breitbart Made”

Donald Trump Jr., the current target of attack by the left

Look to the right now and you’re apt to find an alternative reality in which the same set of facts is rearranged to compose an entirely different narrative. On Fox News, host Lou Dobbs offered a representative example on Thursday night, when he described the Donald Trump Jr. email story, with wild-eyed fervor, like this: “This is about a full-on assault by the left, the Democratic Party, to absolutely carry out a coup d’état against President Trump aided by the left-wing media.”

How terrible is that? It’s terrible because Mr. Dobbs has seen the truth and this NYT writer doesn’t like it.

I’m not sure how it makes sense to say “no one cares about [the] Russia[n collusion issue].”

Putting aside the cheap shot of finding ONE person in the Midwest then saying, “Hah, see? I found ONE,” it seems rather obvious that there are non-trivial numbers of people–even in the rust belt–that care. Saying “no one” is a gross generalization, and actually probably inaccurate.

Secondly, people caring is not proof of right or wrong. That is the folly of democracy: mob rule (i.e. what people care about or don’t).

Third, I don’t even know how anyone can throw a whole blanket over the matter and say it’s 100% decided (or “settled science,” if you will) one way or the other. As far as I’m concerned, everyone should be in favor of a full and thorough investigation no matter where it leads, only at THAT point being able to say that the Russia thing mattered, or that it didn’t.

Fourth, when a toady or water carrier (like Hannity and Dobbs nowadays, or like Obama’s multitude of minions before that) tells me that something is a nothingburger, I could literally not care less about their assertion, and none of you should pay that ultra-biased opinion any mind, either.

But hey… that’s just me, perhaps.
