Executive branch to legislative branch: “You will submit voluntarily or we shall force you to submit.”

The Obama administration is warning Congress that if it doesn’t move to regulate greenhouse gases, the Environmental Protection Agency will take a “command-and-control” role over the process in a way that could hurt business.

The warning, from a top White House economic official who spoke Tuesday on condition of anonymity, came on the eve of EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson’s address to the international conference on climate change in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Either the people and their representatives submit to Draconian economic controls or they will be imposed upon them. Of course the Congress, if it had the balls, could abolish the EPA with one vote so the Bamster doesn’t really hold all the cards does he? After all, the legislative branch of the federal government is coequal with the executive branch. Threats from the executive are right out of the Hugo Chavez playbook.

The interesting aspect of all of this is the growing conflict between the Democrat dominated Congress and the Democrat controlled executive branch. None of this bodes well for the longevity of HopenchangeTM.
