A call of conscience this Christmas Day
December 25, 2009Merry Christmas everyone!
Though it is stated here many times, this is not a website dedicated to religious matters we understand as Warriors that any battle must be undertaken with the element of Moral Authority on our side. The harsh undertakings of a Soldier require a resolve derived from the just nature of his or her cause, if that Soldier is to achieve Victory. As for me, I certainly wouldn’t want anyone at my side in any battle, who was not convinced of the moral worthiness of our cause.
Before I go on I must give a special hat-tip to Revoista “Love my Liberty” for turning me on to this. Just over one month ago a document known as the “Manhattan Declaration” was released. It is a call to Christians of all stripes to live their conscience and resist the tyranny that is at hand…
Preamble
Christians are heirs of a 2,000-year tradition of proclaiming God’s word, seeking justice in our societies, resisting tyranny, and reaching out with compassion to the poor, oppressed and suffering.
While fully acknowledging the imperfections and shortcomings of Christian institutions and communities in all ages, we claim the heritage of those Christians who defended innocent life by rescuing discarded babies from trash heaps in Roman cities and publicly denouncing the Empire’s sanctioning of infanticide. We remember with reverence those believers who sacrificed their lives by remaining in Roman cities to tend the sick and dying during the plagues, and who died bravely in the coliseums rather than deny their Lord.
I have signed this declaration. You can give yourself a great Christmas gift by standing with others who make up the Body of Christ, in defense of it. Your signature declares your opposition to the Anti-Christ Communist Pagans who are now running our Country. It is an act of resistance. For many of you it may be your first act of resistance. The fight must begin somewhere, it usually begins in your heart and mind. The fight must begin at some time, let it begin this Christmas Day. Join me in signing this Declaration if it is within you to do so.
When the Lord is with us, who can stand against us?
