Black people and the Tea Party Movement

One of the nasty lines of attack used by the left against the Tea Party Movement is that it is racist in nature. The left describes the movement as angry, racist white people. Tea Party events have been maliciously described as looking like lynch mobs. This is vile slander.

The real question should be why, when Obama’s approval ratings languish in the mid 40s, does he enjoy an approval rating among American blacks north of 92%? Black people aren’t being excluded from the Tea Party movement by racist white people. They have self segregated by almost universally supporting the Obama agenda. Almost.

Black people who don’t support the socialist agenda of Obama, however, are welcomed with open arms at Tea Party events. The claim that they are somehow excluded involvement is a vicious lie. Here is video proof.

Black conservatives are the best to know about this movement since they have struggled in so many ways over the years. They understand that big government and entitlements not only hurt them but hurt everyone by making themselves slaves to big government. It won’t happen with these people. They are true Americans and true conservatives. They don’t need anyone to tell them how to lead their own lives. As a Tea Party member myself I am glad to join ranks with black conservatives to fight this socialist. big government and to keep our Constitution safe from these Progressive morons!

First things first. While I have great admiration for the lyrics of the CDB tune you have nominated as a Real Revo Anthem, the song doesn’t open with anthem-like energy. It’s too much like Jazz. Jazz just doesn’t translate into an anthem too handily.

Not only that, the Sadaam Hussein-like head of Richard Petty was spooky. People could associate us with the NASCAR Supremacy crowd. I love the song though.

THIS is the song that I think of when I think of a Charlie Daniels Anthem.

Now then, that short clip of the First Coast Tea Party was shot right here in Jacksonville, Florida.

The man I’m waiting to hear from is none other than Mr. Don King. He came put for President Bush in 2004, citing weakness as a character flaw that he couldn’t tolerate in his President. He thanked President Bush for keeping us safe after 9-11. I’m wondering when we are going to hear from Mr. King speak on the subject of national leadership again.

I wonder if I should hazard a guess on what percentage of the so-called “Black Vote” Obama will win in 2012.

    Hmmm…

It’s hard to say. I think there’s going to be a significant shift. This is based on a single year of observation. I can see it being at roughly 70%. I can also see how between now and 2012 some seriously bad things are going to happen that could maybe shave off another twenty points.

I know, most of you will think that I’m being overly optimistic. I think that the 70% number is a fairly safe number to project at this point. Turnout among black voters will be lower. I don’t care to offer a guess as to how much lower though.

  3. R.D. Walker says:

What? There are no links, dude. I bet you are going to say Long Haired Country Boy. That would be a fine choice too.

Still, this couple of lines: “It’s my life, God was the one to give it. And I ain’t gonna let nobody tell me how to live it” is just so perfect. Those are the truths we hold to be self evident, by God.

It is funny you should mention the gay cowboy on the Saddle Tramp album cover. I was looking at that when I posted it an thinking it was pretty lame. Maybe it was done some nephew of Daniels for a 10th grade art class or something. Whatever. I wasn’t advocating for the Richard Petty, demon eyed, urban cowboy.

  4. Charlottean says:

Well, it looks like the Tea Party has riled up the feathers of the establishment. The big guns have decided to have a smear campaign against them.

  5. MadBrad says:

I’m talking about the song in the Tea Party video. I remember when that song first hit the airwaves. I believe it was shortly after President Reagan demonstrated how the U.S. Navy is able to navigate any area within the Gulf of Sidra (spelling?) whether or not a “Line of Death” existed. Muammar got his ‘fro fried.

  6. BaconNeggs says:

    >>The real question should be why, when Obama’s approval ratings languish in the mid 40s, does he enjoy an approval rating among American blacks north of 92%? The most charitable observation could be that Blacks conclude they have a common "Black" experience with Obama which trumps everything.

However, the answer to your question is quite simple, many Blacks are racists, prefering to put race and colour before all else.

How many can actually say what Obama's socialist polices are or what they mean to their lives?

Black people are unfortunately easy dupes of Snake-oil salesmen, as long as the "rap" is catchy and makes some kind of racial connection, its a hit.

  7. Branden says:

A few blacks out of thousands of whites shows a 1% or less minority. Once again. A few black faces to pacify the people. History repeats itself always.

  8. R.D. Walker says:

Branden, you sniveling moron, it doesn’t matter how many black people were there. The point is that black people are welcomed at Tea Party events and the video proves it. Black people have no reason to fear it and, if they share the Tea Party values of liberty and small government, they are embraced by the Tea partiers.

Frankly, you wouldn’t expect many black people at Tea Party events. Polls show something like 96% of black people support Obama. That large a percentage of support can only be based on one thing: race. The racism here is among black people who support Obama BECAUSE he is black.

  9. eric says:

one token black speaker in front a hundred white people over and over again…looks like the tea baggers are mostly white. You can prop up what you want but when you look at the crowd, the truth is over 95% white teabaggers…and that is NOT AMERICA!

  10. eric says:

it does matter how black people there are at the events, Walker. If the crowd is over 95% white, then it does NOT represent America of 2010.

  11. R.D. Walker says:

Eric, do you suck cocks? What is your fascination with the term “tea bagger?” Do you tongue slather the scrotums of men? What’s the story with this fascination with homosexual sex acts with you guys?

Black people are accepted at Tea Party events. They don’t show up much because 90-some percent of them support Obama. The only people who aren’t welcome at Tea Party events are Obama supporters.

Again, black people are welcome in the Tea Party. That the vast majority of them choose to support Obama isn’t the fault of the Tea Party movement.

By the way Eric, here is how the Tea Party Movement represents America according to Gallup…

  12. ejj petlone says:

Blacks represent 13.5% of the population. Lets say for argument sake that there are 10,000 people at a tea party. A proportionate number of blacks would be 1,350.

People that support Obama are not showing up at the events and if blacks support Obama at 90%, then their numbers are now down to 10% of 1,350 or 135. And that’s right about where they are in the crowd.

The tea parties are anything but racist.

  13. R.D. Walker says:

Ejj: Right. These clowns are changing back and forth in their argument. They are trying to play it this way…

    1) Tea Party events are mostly white,

    therefore,

    2) they are racist.

All it takes to disprove the claim of racism is to show that black people are welcomed at the events. The video above shows this. At this point, moonbats change the subject and tell us that..

    1) The Tea Party doesn’t represent the majority of black people,

    therefore,

    2) The Tea Party is racist.

This of course is sub-moronic. The Tea Party movement was created to oppose Obama Administration policies and black people overwhelmingly support Obama. What they are really saying is this.

    1) Tea Paries oppose Obama,

    therefore,

    2) Tea Parties are racist.

That is clearly weapons grade stupidity.

  14. ejj petlone says:

    R.D.:

What I want to see is a black person come on TV and state that they were not allowed at the tea party because they are black (with proof of course). Or a video of a tea party member pushing a black person out of the crowd because of their race.

We are not going to see it, because it hasn’t happened. They try to play both sides. If there aren’t enough blacks then your a racist. If you are black and you are at a tea party then you’re a sellout or an Uncle Tom.

When all else fails, call out “RACISM!”

  15. Bman says:

The next claim will be that the Tea Party crowds are USING black people as props at their rallies. I can see Piss Mathews now saying something like this:

“Oh sure. Now the Tea Party members are showcasing, even actually using black people to speak at their rallies. After much critizism in the absent of any black people at the parties, now you see black people everywhere. This is just sick and racist as can be. Using black people to move along their racist agenda. Wouldn’t you agree Keith? Keith? Mr Olberman?”

“oh sorry, Piss. I was just trying to suck my own cock, Sir.”

  16. R.D. Walker says:

The Tea Party was created to oppose Obama’s tax and spend policies.

The vast majority of black people don’t oppose Obama, therefore…

There are few black people at Tea Party events, meaning…

The majority of black people support Obama’s tax and spend policies and therefore don’t support the Tea Party Movement.

How in the hell is this an indictment of the Tea Party Movement?

  17. Air Force Brat says:

ejj — remember the video out there of a black Tea Partier getting beaten pretty badly (last summer, was it?) by SEIU thugs? However, I’m not sure if he’s been on TV to tell about it, though.

  18. R.D. Walker says:

    Eric’s reasoning….

Willie Nelson has a country music act.

Country music has relatively few black fans, therefore

There are few black people at Willie Nelson concerts, meaning…

    Willie Nelson is a racist.

  19. notamobster says:

    rd, bman, ejj:

It is quite obvious to everyone who reads this menage-a-hate that you’re engaging here that you are motivated by your hatred of black people. The logic, for you simple rubes, is thus:

If you disagree with anything the left says, you are clearly a racist, homophobe, who hates children, puppies, and the poor.

Why do you hate colored people, impoverished children, puppies, and diversity so much?

  20. R.D. Walker says:

Ice fishing is popular in Minnesota.

Black people don’t participate much in ice fishing, therefore…

Most of the people on frozen lakes fishing are white, meaning….

    Minnesota is racist.

  21. notamobster says:

Oh, and RD: Having one “token” 4 year old in your house, doesn’t prove that you’re not a “child-hater”.

  22. notamobster says:

    OOOOH…. I like this (Python-esque) game.

    Hockey is popular in Canada.

Black people make up only a small fraction of those who play hockey.

That makes most hockey players white.

    Hockey is racist.

  23. R.D. Walker says:

St. Patrick’s Day celebrates Irish heritage.

There are few black people of Irish heritage, therefore…

The St. Patrick’s Day parade is made up of mostly white people, meaning…

    St. Patrick’s Day is racist.

  24. ejj petlone says:

The Willie Nelson one is my favorite. I’m sure he’ll be glad to hear that he’s racist.

This must make Cowboy Troy an Uncle Tom / Sell Out

  25. R.D. Walker says:

I don’t know what we are going to do with my girl Rissi Palmer. I guess singing country makes her a “token black,” huh?

  26. Bman says:

    White couples have white babies

There are no black people born from white couples, therefore

White babies are born because from white couples mating meaning…

White couples are rascist against black babies

  27. nietzsche says:

Baconneggs said in his/her defense of the Tea Party that “Black people are unfortunately easy dupes of Snake-oil salesmen”….nice comment…idiot, and white people are unfortunately easy dupes of hate-spweing goons like Beck and Limbaugh

  28. R.D. Walker says:

Maybe you shouldn’t assume that Baconneggs is white asshole.

  29. slaphappypap says:

I was at a tea party rally in Chicago’s Daley Plaza. The crowd that was more diverse was us. Asian decent,Hispanic decent,African American. The crowd that was “white” were the liberal/socialist crowd screaming for single-payer health care. Liberals always seem to forget that Barack Obama is white. I always remember that he’s a socialist snob that thinks all colors should bow to him. So I’ll bend over and he can kiss my non-tanned mestizo ass.

  30. maureen says:

WHERE were the tea partiers when Bush sent out young men and women to Iraq to die at $1,000,000,000 per month? I guess it is not a problem spending that much money on a ‘war to no where” and sending our futrue leaders to die in a country where they are not wanted. However, assuring that all of our citizens have health care is a big issue.

  31. MadBrad says:

Our Men and Women were being sent to kill ISLAMIC TERRORISTS, not INNOCENT BABIES and DEFENSELESS SENIOR CITIZENS.

  32. MadBrad says:

All Americans WILL NOT have Health Care under the current Law. Go back to Bitch School, excuse me, STUPID Bitch School.

  33. maureen says:

I feel that the tea party movement is racist because I have seen so many signs during their rallies where Obama is protrayed as a witch doctor or monkey. The people standing around those signs were not doing anything about it. They seem to think that portrayal is OK. Also let me remind you that unless a white person lives with a person of color or has a bi-racial child they can’t really know racist when they see it – usually. For some reason many white people feel they are qualified to deem what is or is not racist/racism. In addition, even during slavery times, there were blacks who didn’t recognize racism, or wanted to be accepted by whites and ignored racism even at their own expense.

The commet about blacks voting for and supporting Obama (becasue he is black, I guess) is silly. Generally speaking, blacks don’t support JC Watts or Micheal Steele and would not if either were president. Trust me, when the 2012 election comes around the Obama supporters will awaken again, and stand in line for hours to vote for Obama to assure he gets back in office. He is a good and honorable man.

  34. maureen says:

When you are unable to comprehend for yourself just call names, no intelligent thought is needed.

  35. MadBrad says:

When you are a stupid bitch all you can do is sound like one. We make intelligent arguments here. Your argument reflects ignorance. I’ve actually seen the destination of the road we are currently on. You talk theory and I speak from experience. Speaking from experience, you sound like a stupid bitch.

  36. MadBrad says:

    You “Feel”.

If you live long enough maybe you will actually KNOW something.

Here you go SB. This should give you some insight…

FINALLY! A TROLL WHO COMES BACK! YAY!!!
I feel that the tea party movement is racist because I have seen so many signs during their rallies where Obama is protrayed as a witch doctor or monkey. THE WITCHDOCTOR THING IS NOT RACIST. IT’S A PORTRAYAL OF HIM AS A MAN SELLING YOU HOKEY MEDICINE. I HAVEN’T SEEN ANY MONKEY SIGNS. SHOW US PROOF.
The people standing around those signs were not doing anything about it. They seem to think that portrayal is OK.

Also let me remind you that unless a white person lives with a person of color or has a bi-racial child they can’t really know racist when they see it – usually. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? THERE IS NO WAY A PERSON WITH A FUNCTIONING CORTEX CAN ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT NONSENSE! BECAUSE I DON’T HAVE BLACK SKIN, I DON’T UNDERSTAND THE ASS-WHOOPING I TOOK IN RICHMOND VIRGINIA AT THE HANDS OF 4 BLACK MEN AMID TAUNTS OF “HONKEY”, “CRACKER”, & “WHITEBOY” OR THE YEARS OF NOT FITTING INTO THE BLACK COMMUNITY I LIVED IN BECAUSE OF MY SKIN COLOR?

For some reason many white people feel they are qualified to deem what is or is not racist/racism. I HAVE A DICTIONARY THAT DEFINES WORDS FOR ME AND ACCORDING TO MERRIAM-WEBSTER YOU ARE A RACIST!! YOU PROMOTE THIS IDEA THAT STRICTLY BASED ON RACE AN ENTIRE GROUP OF PEOPLE ARE NOT CAPABLE OF RECOGNIZING SOMETHING THAT ANYONE WITH 4 BRAIN CELLS COULD SEE. WHAT WOULD IT MAKE ME IF I SAID THAT BLACK PEOPLE WERE NOT CAPABLE OF LOVING THEIR CHILDREN PROPERLY JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE BLACK? THAT WOULD MAKE ME A RACIST.

In addition, even during slavery times, there were blacks who didn’t recognize racism, or wanted to be accepted by whites and ignored racism even at their own expense. THAT’S RIGHT, THE SAME OLD TIRED LINE: “IF YOU DON’T FIT INTO THE TIGHT SOCIAL MOLD ESTABLISHED FOR YOU BY THE COMMUNITY, YOU’RE AN UNCLE TOM” THAT’S RIGHT, I FORGOT THAT ANY BLACK PERSON WHO THINKS FOR THEIRSELF IS A SELL-OUT. WHAT HORSESHIT!

The commet about blacks voting for and supporting Obama (becasue he is black, I guess) is silly. I GUESS YOU ARE THE EMMISSARY OF ALL BLACK FOLKS IN THIS WORLD? RIDDLE ME THIS: HOW IS IT THAT OBAMA’S NUMBERS HAVE DROPPED INTO THE 40+% RANGE BUT REMAINS IN THE HIGH 90’S AMONGST BLACK PEOPLE? I’M SURE HIS SKIN COLOR HAS NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH IT. OR HOW HE THREW HIS MAMA UNDER THE BUS BY CALLING HER A ‘TYPICAL WHITE PERSON’ – OR HOW HE CLAIMED THAT HE IS “BLACK,NEGROE, OR AFRICAN-AMERICAN” ON HIS CENSUS FORM, WHEN HE IS IN FACT HALF-WHITE.

Generally speaking, blacks don’t support JC Watts or Micheal Steele and would not if either were president. THEY DON’T SUPPORT REPUBLICAN/CONSERVATIVES OF ANY COLOR YOU FUCKING NIMROD! THAT IS WHOLLY SYMPTOMATIC OF DECADES SPENT ENSLAVED ON THE DEMOCRATIC/LIBERAL PLANTATION WHEREBY THEY CONTINUE TO SERVE MASTER WITH VOTES IN EXCHANGE FOR FREE-CANDY!

Trust me, when the 2012 election comes around the Obama supporters will awaken again, and stand in line for hours to vote for Obama to assure he gets back in office.YOU’RE RIGHT MANY WILL AWAKEN AND REALIZE WHAT ABJECT DUMB-SHITS THEY WERE IN ELECTING HIM THE FIRST TIME (WELFARE RATS EXCLUDED)

He is a good and honorable man. WHAT A JOKE!

STILL SHOUTING RACIST!!! IS THAT THE BEST YOU GOT? You’ve come to the wrong place if you’re looking for folks who would cower from fear of being politically incorrect!

  38. MadBrad says:

Nota, I’m glad that you have the energy today. I’ve been arguing with SB’s too long to tolerate it. Have fun.

  39. notamobster says:

The assertion that I’m incapable of recognizing injustice based solely on the hue of my epidermal layer really aggravated me. It’s racist, and racism pisses me off. (See, Maureen, I recognize it when I see it)

I guess it’s okay for her to make assuptions based on race, but we’re racist because most black folks don’t want to attend rallies that are in their best interest. I guess she’d rather keep the poor shackled and segregated in the ghettos, than out of the shithole and living free, independent lives. what a sham. I fucking hate liberals!

  40. notamobster says:

Maureeeeen? Maureeeeen? Hellooooo….. damnit! Another runaway troll!

  41. MadBrad says:

SB’s can’t comprehend logical discussion, which is why I addressed her in language she clearly understands.
