Everything I Need to Know I Learned From a Liberal
November 4, 2008It appears that the United States is going to have a president named Barack Hussein Obama. We saw it coming but it is still a little shocking. Oh well, we are now the opposition party and need to take a page from the Democratic Guide to Being an Opposition Party. Here we go…
The Liberal Guide to Being a Member of the Opposition Party

1) The left has told us again and again that to dissent is to be patriotic. Because of this, we will immediately begin our new role as a star spangled, God bless America, bombs bursting in air, patriotic site. We are going to dissent so hard that red, white and blue rainbows are going to shine out our asses. The new administration is going to definitely feel our patriotism.

2) Liberals have shown us that if you don’t like the president’s policies, the best course is to demand loudly that he be impeached. Our “Impeach Obama” campaign starts tomorrow.

3) It is not required to acknowledge the election of a new president because he stole the election anyway. Obama stole the election and, therefore, is not my president.

4) Since you are not required to acknowledge the new president, there is no reason why you can’t burn him in effigy. We will be stocking up on Obama masks to make effigies to burn.

5) Comparing the POTUS to Hitler is always a good idea. Obama is Hitler!
Thanks to the work done by liberals in their role as the opposition party over the last eight years, we at the Revo are rested and ready to move into our new position. Thanks guys, you blazed the trail and made it look easy.

Something tells me you will never get away with all that under Obama. The real Hitler/Stalin would never permit any dissent and this new one won’t either.

240,000 people (socialists) in Grant Park last night. By voting this man in they have awakened the future for us to become the following countries: France,Sweden,Soviet Union. I hope all those people love labor camps.

so you think it’s a good idea to stoop down to the same level of leftist radical bone-heads? that doesn’t sound like a winning strategy to me. maybe a better one would be to lead by example instead of just doing the same stupid shit that the left did except under a different banner.
R.D. Walker :

Forrest, let me introduce you to a concept called a “joke.” A joke is something said for the sake of exciting a laugh; something witty or sportive (commonly indicating more of hilarity or humor than jest); a jest; a witticism; jokes often employ satire or irony.
The irony here is that the left would not support a turnabout or see it as fairplay at all. I won’t actually be doing any of the above. Nor will I be moving to Canada or France. I will, however, continue to point out the hypocricy exhibted by leftists who believe the above behavior is reasonable unless it is their ox that is being gored.
Get it now?

im pretty sure government bailing out wall street with taxpayer money is socialist (Bush and mccain supported as well as obama) also reagan helped spread the wealth with his creation of the earned income tax which is giving people money because they are poor. sounds socialist to me. get over it.

Fox news has already started the “Patriotic Dissent” part. They were exceptional at it during the Clinton administration so no worries on that score.
You’re covered!

Bahahaha…you butt-hurt tax mooches crack me up.
Patriotism is for gullible fools. Citizenship is a business relationship.
Hey patriot, why aren’t you over in Iraq fighting your war?
R.D. Walker :
Date: November 5, 2008
I have served my country in combat and my son has done three tours in Iraq. What have you done Fatboy?
McLaren :
Date: November 5, 2008
Hey Shawn, only .045% of Americans are currently fighting the jihadists in Iraq so that you can cram Bugles into your mouth in your mom’s basement. Now, I’m too old to serve in combat. I’m also too old to travel space for NASA. Am I permitted by you to have an opinion on space travel as well as national security?
Take your Zinn-like quotes someplace where little childlren might listen.
R.D. Walker :
Date: November 5, 2008
Shawn likely supports fire prevention. Why isn’t he a firefighter? And then, when he is done with that, as a supporter of law enforcement he will be required to be a cop too. Clearly if you support law enforcement and aren’t a cop, you are a hypocrite.
FatSean :

I protested the amoral and unethical invasion of Iraq and supported finishing the job in Afghanistan instead. I was called a traitor and worse for pointing out that Iraq was not a threat to our freedoms and that if stopping genocide (the fourth excuse) was the real purpose, that many MANY more lives could have been saved by entering Rawanda to stop the ethnic cleansing of Christians.
Scared shit-less right-wingers pushed for this optional conflict…let them provide the bodies. Myself, my children and my childrens’ children are already on the hook for the bill.
McLaren :

Gee Shawn, I feel bad that somebody called you a name.
Perhaps you could read through a few pre-liberation documents that might enlighten you to the multiple reasons for the liberation of Iraq.
Here’s at least one:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/09/20020912-1.html
This quote is pretty near the top of the speech:
“In 1991, Security Council Resolution 688 demanded that the Iraqi regime cease at once the repression of its own people, including the systematic repression of minorities — which the Council said, threatened international peace and security in the region. This demand goes ignored.”
So you are either ignorant or a liar. Which is it?
R.D. Walker :

Uh huh. The old “Iraq is a distraction form Afghanistan” fiction. How old are you? Five? Every soldier who has served in both theaters – my son and literally dozens of other personal acquaintances I have – clearly understand that the central war against al Qaeda was in Iraq. My son, as member of the 1/75 Ranger Battalion spent months in Iraq kicking in doors of al Qaeda safe houses and dragging jihadists from their holes. He fought, was wounded and fought some more. Then they would send him to Afghanistan were he would spend six months playing video games and maybe going on a mission or two.
The war that started on 9/11 took us on battles around the world. When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor the first large scale invasion conducted by the Americans was Operation Torch in North Africa. The Africans didn’t bomb Pearl Harbor but that is the first place we invaded. FDR wasn’t retarded, he just understood what you can’t get though your head, you take the battle to the enemy.
Once the US was in Iraq, the enemy declared “Mesopetomia” the central front against the Great Satan and poured all their resources and energy into that region where they were bled dry. They are decimated and they died in the dust of Iraq. The war is largely won, al Qaeda is on the run everywhere, Bin Laden is likely dead and the American military “brand” has been re-energized: If you fuck with America, you will be destroyed.
It was a tough fight but it is the most effective battle against an insurgency in history. It is victory on all fronts. Now we can let the snake eaters of Special Ops continue cleaning up the few, wind sucking stragglers on the frontiers of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
You have witnessed one of the most successful military campaigns in history with a friendly casualty rate over seven years that is equal to the average casualties suffered by the US every two weeks in World War II.
FatAsses don’t serve but warriors do. As a paratrooper and infantryman I have served with duty and honor and pulled the trigger for my country. I have had men try to kill me and fail and laid awake while men tried to kill my son and fail. You don’t know shit about what it means to defend this nation and, if you want to spew, you should find a site more pussy oriented than this one.

R.D., don’t you love it when these types sling the words “immoral” “amoral(?)” “illegal” “unethical” etc., to describe the Iraq liberation?
Oh, how I wish we could return to the good old days when all the wars and all the battles fought were legal, ethical, moral, and approved with the Good House Keeping Seal.

My favorite idiot is the one saying the government bailed out Wall Street. I ask you this – why were all those toxic mortgage securities worth so little? ITS BECAUSE THE PUBLIC DID NOT PAY THEIR BILLS! So next time your government bails out your debt with your tax dollars and then takes ownership stakes at very low prices – do not be such a retard and say ‘thank you’. Moron!
McLaren :
Date: November 5, 2008
Damn Robert, when you put it that way……
Seriously, the “bail-out” was a direct result of government meddling in the market to begin with — nothing more than a giant CYA.

Oh, and the earned income tax credit was created in 1975. Reagan promoted it when he was being labeled a scrooge around Christmas time, but otherwise had nothing to do with it, so get over it.
au :
Date: November 6, 2008
When the Earned Income Tax Credit was expanded in the Tax Reform Act of 1986, President
Reagan, who signed the bill into law, called the EITC “the best anti-poverty, the best pro-family,
the best job-creation measure to come out of Congress.
He increased it from 10% to 14% and George H. W increased it further.
but im sure it was all about christmas
If you were a “true” republican you would believe in free market and that does not mean using government funds and taxpayer money to interfere in business practices when things go sour. markets fix
not my fault wall street shot itself in the foot by offering loans to people THEY KNEW had shit for money.
McLaren :
Date: November 6, 2008
I’m not a Republican, I am a conservative. And I completely agree that redistribution of wealth, whether done by Reagan or Obama, is a mistake. On the other hand, I realize that as a civilized nation we do need a social sefety net for the temporarily screwed. That does not equate to cradle-to-grave entitlements.
Anyway, you said Reagan created the EITC. He didn’t.

Well said, RD Walker, well said. Fat Sean is able to “protest” (no doubt from a chair in front of a keyboard) in part because he enjoys the protection of our excellent men and women in the U.S. military. But he’ll never understand that.

Photos of the burned and hung Bush effigies I could find seem to come from foreign protests and not domestic. Do you have sourcing the burning effigy, its important to know if its Americans who did that otherwise the libbies will say “That wasn’t us.”
R.D. Walker :
Date: November 6, 2008
Good point Rob. The photo of Bush being burned in effigy was taken by Zombie in San Francisco on the day after election day 2004. You can find the rest of the ugly lot here.
Funny, I don’t remember seeing any photos of Obama being burned in effigy yesterday, do you?
au :
Date: November 6, 2008
hmmmm…could it be that 2004 began Bush’s second term and Obama is brand new??
R.D. Walker :
Date: November 6, 2008
Au: Could be, I suppose. I guess we can look forward to Obama Flambeau if he gets reelected, then?
Or maybe there is something else at play here. You know, like the fact that conservatives don’t roll that way and that sort of crap is pretty much restricted to the moonbat left.
McLaren :

Hey Gold, what the fuck difference does it make?
au :
Date: November 7, 2008
it means you can’t criticize a presidency that hasn’t yet occurred.
and yes we will see…im sure there will be some people complaining as usual, right off the bat, but we are a populist nation so your minority opinion bears no weight.
the people have spoken.
R.D. Walker :

“but we are a populist nation so your minority opinion bears no weight.”
Think again there, sport. The voices of 48 million people are not without relevance. Your little false god will ignore us at his peril.
au :
Date: November 7, 2008
well last time I checked the 48 million people didn’t get their president.
false god? hah, i didn’t even vote for the guy
sorry pal
McLaren :
Date: November 7, 2008
“Populist nation?”
We live in a representative republic so my minority voice does indeed bear weight. Indeed The One won the majority of electoral votes, so my electoral vote was defeated. I still have 2 senators and a representative in congress who give my opinion weight.
Secondly, I already can complain that the president-elect is setting up a tax-free fund to employ his federally unemployable thugs who will be paid by George Soros to do the will of George Soros:
“As well, the nonprofit may also serve as a haven for Obama supporters and campaign loyalists who for one reason or another can’t be employed by the Administration or in the federal government. “There are some people who have been with us from the beginning who are clearly political liabilities or who won’t be able to qualify for a job, say, because they can’t get a security clearance,” says another aide, who was unaware of the unique Obama transition project’s tax status.
Regardless of the purpose, Obama campaign officials say there is no intention of shutting down the 501(c) 4 Project after the transition is over.”
McLaren :
Date: November 8, 2008
Also, Fidel Castro has never been my president. Is it OK with you, Gold, if I protest and criticize his policies?
