A group in Illinois called, “Guns Save Life” has been collecting junk guns from all over the state. Guns that look like these:
What do they do with them? Every year or so they truck them to Chicago where the city has a gun buy-back program. They sell the valueless, or nearly so, guns to the city of Chicago. The city pays $100 for a gun and $10 for a BB gun. This year they grossed $6,140 and, after expenses, netted about five grand.
The money will go to Darnall’s NRA Youth Shooting Camp that is held each summer in Bloomington, IL.
