I call for an “Election Day Bonus Caption Contest” or “What Will Obama Say When He Calls To Congratulate Romney” thread to cut the tension for the next few hours.
“I have ordered the FBI to detain Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan and am imposing a 24 hour curfew until the current unstable situation is resolved.”
That wasn’t very funny, however.

Don’t feel bad. Our state is mail-in ballots only. Ballots dropped two weeks ago. We’ve been waiting for a long time.
Aggie over at Hookers and Booze shares her recipe for ‘El Presidente’. Apropos for today:
1½ oz. White Rum (Crystal)
1½ oz. Vermouth Blanc
1 barspoon* Orange Curaçao or Grand Marnier
½ barspoon* Grenadine
Thinly-sliced Orange Peel
Stir ingredients well over cracked ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Twist the orange peel over the top and drop in or discard as you prefer. Garnish, if desired, with a cherry. Personally, I prefer this with the Grand Marnier. And don’t pass on the cherry. It makes the drink a very pretty RED!

I’ll be drinking “The President’s Unemployment”, tonight:
1 Glass
1-2 ice cubes
2-3″ fingers of whiskey (scotch for special night)
Pour the whiskey over the ice. Drink. Repeat as necessary.
I’ll be joining in that toast.
But (and I know this’ll make you cringe), I’ll be indulging with PBR with a few gin & tonics on the side.
Think I’ll mix up a couple Hurricane Sandy’s tonight: it’s a watered-down Manhattan.
