Social conservatism in America is dead

I pulled this from the comment section somewhere. I think it hits the nail on the head.

The Left controls the culture and the people believe there is no legitimate reason to restrict marriage to one man and one Kardashian for 10 week periods. People are cheering the votes as being a “victory over hate.” Single women voted as if Lena Dunham truly is their spokeswoman.

If this is what happens when a candidate you think was too moderate runs, there is NO WAY IN H-E-DOUBLE-TOOTHPICKS a Santorum-style Torquemada would have a chance. 40% of babies are born out of wedlock. The Left has successfully flipped morality on its head where euthanasia and abortion are good things and the traditional family is a relic of a hateful, less-enlightened time.

If social conservatism and fiscal conservatism and welded together, fiscal conservatism is going to sink into obscurity along with social conservatism.

so we’re not at the lowest point ever, then?

we have to go lower in order to start to climb back out?

  2. Uke says:

    Goddamn ObamaFone voters.

It appears that predictions were true after all: We really have engaged far too many people in dependency to ever hope we’ll be able to return to even a semblance of a conservative society anytime soon.

Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t see how we can claim to be a center-right nation anymore. Center-left is where we’re at now, like it or not. Perhaps we ought to join the EU. Seems like we’d fit right in.

Freedom and the pursuit of exceptionalism are falling hard and fast.

Cloward-piven has succeeded. You may pray and worhip in your increasingly small enclaves—for now.

The illegal immigration issue also sunk Republicans. Hispanics voted widely against Romney. They have brought their socialist corrupt brand of governmnet they left back home with them. Expect the imposter in the office of the presidency to legalize more of them.

    As a Chinese immigrant noted:

    “The country has changed.”

It’s the new culture of permissiveness. Moral and fiscal. Destroying capital and dumping risk and debt on The State (meaning the rest of us) is now standard operation. But it’s now termed “Everyone gets a shot”, “Leveling the playing field”, “Paying your fair share”, and “Asking The Rich to pay a little bit more.”

The Shitty People have taken over.

I said to my kids this morning, who are also in mourning –

now it won’t be Calif and NY that is soddom and gomorrah. now it will be the entire country.

  8. Lerxst says:

I swear this is true…As I stood in line to vote yesterday, the parasite standing in front of me actually said “That bitch Romney goin’ take away my Obama-phone, fuck dat.” I knew right then and there I should have just walked away and went back home.

  9. Dave J says:

Republicans should have known that only a african american lesbian with a Hispanic lover and a white son could have had a chance against Obama in this post racial super tolerant society.

  10. Locke n Load says:

Yesterday was a death match between movement conservatism and progressivism. And while you’ll have a hell of a time convincing me Oh and Fl weren’t stolen, it doesn’t matter. We lost. Movement conservatives will be on their heels if not destroyed.

I used to talk about kamikaze conservatives and how we needed their sacrifice if we got the presidency… good luck recruiting them now.
