More of the same from Obama

Raise taxes on high earners, corporatist subsidization, fiscal cliff ahead, debt ceiling looming… Nothing changed.

President Obama, claiming his election “majority” was a vindication of his fiscal policy, held firm Friday to his intention to include tax hikes for America’s top earners in any negotiations with Congress to pull the nation back from the so-called “fiscal cliff.”

The president, in his first remarks from Washington since winning a second term, urged officials to “get to work” on the issue as he invited congressional leaders to the White House next week. He said he’s open to “compromise,” but did not appear to budge on what has been a central disagreement over the last two years — whether to extend the Bush-era tax rates for everyone, or to let them lapse for households making more than $250,000.

“I refuse to accept any approach that isn’t balanced,” Obama said Friday, without explicitly mentioning the Bush tax rates. “This was a central question during the election … and on Tuesday night, we found out that a majority of Americans agree with my approach.”

There you go America. Same old shit we have been talking about for two years. For the last six months Obama has been campaigning that he isn’t an incapable, uncompromising, and careless leader. Here you go. Same shit, different day.

Buckle up, folks. We’re going for ride.

And the Dow shaved a quick 100 points the minute he opened his mouth.

    Give him what he wants…..

So, if we’re barreling towards the fiscal cliff at say, 150mph, taxing the nation’s top earners is the rough equivalent of sticking one’s bare foot out the door and using it to slow down the car. Got a plan B there, Barry?

  4. notamobster says:

I agree with AW Mens! Give the man what he wants. Fuck it. Why stop at a small increase? Let’s go full France on those evil rich bastards! Free college for everyone! Free rubbers! Free food! Free phones! Free healthcare! (I can’t support abortion.)

Let’s just go full on full-on socialist and hasten the destruction.

Then, when the dust settles, we can point to the people who caused it, line up the guillotines, and be done with it.

The French revolution didn’t end well. Nevermind the full-on socialist bit – but I do agree that we should just give him what he wants. Let him prove himself a fool.

Sorry to those with a vested interest.

In which of Van’s categories does AWMen’s “Let it Burn” contingent fit?

  6. Meshuggahboy says:

Am I the only one who thinks he’ll still be able to blame the Republicans even if they give him everything he wants? All he has to do is tell his moron base “they were in control of the House, it’s their fault” in a couple years. Doesn’t matter what they give him, just being there would be enough for the idiot left to be persuaded.

Otherwise, I agree, give him the rope and let him hang himself.

  7. R.D. Walker says:

Look, Obama could step out on the South Lawn of the White House and start biting the heads off golden retriever puppies. If he blamed in on Republicans in Congress, at least half his followers in the media and in the populace would nod their heads gravely and curse the GOP.

That’s the point of Plan B. Acknowledging we can’t change that.

  8. AW Mens says:

Category 5. A hybrid of the four in about the same ratios Van mentioned. “Let it burn” somewhat implies acceptance. I am accepting nothing however the path I’ve tried to utilize in turning around the situation (logic, education, involvement, and a willingness to accept my share of controlled pain) hasn’t worked and clearly won’t work in the future. I still very much advocate for democracy. I’ve concluded however that the only way to change someones vote is to let them experience a lesson in in economics first hand. I agree that will suck for the makers as well as the takers but like chemotherapy there is a chance the cancer cells will die before the healthy cells do.
My position is “that which must happen will happen”. The ballot box is not an option unless accompanied by some new real life experience . Anarchy and offensive violence should never be alternatives. So what’s left?
If every person who voted the progressive agenda this time around gets to experience life under the full undiluted Obama policy, we have a chance at getting this turned around someday. We can’t kill the progressive adgenda. It has to be allowed to kill itself (as it always does…).
Meanwhile we prepare to get through it.

    Bullseye Quote
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.”

This FrontPage Mag article is just one example.

In Arizona, Recorders Office was inundated with more than 400,000 provisional ballots. All without some form of ID (see, Arizona requires Voter ID).

Voter Fraud: Obama Won 108% of Registered Voters in Ohio County
November 9, 2012 By Daniel Greenfield

Let’s face it. Obama won the election. Just like Putin and Ahmadinejad did theirs. The only difference is that unlike Iranians and Russians, Americans won’t be gathering in the streets to protest their disenfranchisement at the hands of the corrupt Democratic Party machine.

First, he received over 99% of the vote in districts where GOP inspectors were illegally removed.

Next, he won 100% of the vote in 21 districts in Cleveland. Well, he’s gotten another lucky break!

Mr. Obama won Wood County in Ohio this year. That’s right, Mr. Obama won the majority of Wood County’s 108% of registered voters. That’s not a typo.

In 2012, 106,258 people in Wood County are registered to vote out of an eligible 98,213.

Secretary of College Democrats Morgan Holliger chimed in, “We won Wood County, we won Ohio.”

Mr. Obama did indeed win Wood County, along with its 108% of voters.

Half the Democratic ground game is voter turnout. The other half is voter fraud. Voter ID would make an impact on this game, but that would be just like the return of Segregation or something.

Chicago-style thuggery on full display for every American to see. This administration is dangerous for ALL Americans and America. We The People MUST, must organize a better messaging, groundgame and candidate slate(s).

Thanks for posting that link messup. Folks were starting to think I was full of shit about the Ohio vote.
There is NO question in my mind this election was stolen, none. They had 4 years to implement the Chicago style. Chicago has metastasized into a federal fraud ggame, make no mistake.

Do you REALLY believe, after all those reports of record turnout from all the battleground states, that we turned out not only fewer votes than 2010 but fewer than the McCain race?
    Not. A. Chance.

Guys, this was stolen. And Romney rolled over. Decent man that he is he probably didn’t want to force the country into a critical moment where the level of corruption and massive fraud was exposed. I have a lot of respect for the man, I do. But he underestimated the machine. Romney understands when the moment comes that the electorate lose faith in the vote, when that critical mass is reached, its all over.

Said it all along, we needed to win by at least 5 to overcome the fraud. I grew up in Chicago, this is old hat for them.

  12. Locke n Load says:

Keep in mind that as we speak, Col West is fighting for survival against a system that has denied him a chance at quarantining the votes in dispute in his district. The ‘election officials’ are hand transcribing the ballots that somehow’ weren’t readable’ by the machines. They’ve been doing it without non-partisan oversight or attys present.
This fraud is going on RIGHT NOW against Col West. hello? MSM?

  13. Locke n Load says:

We may be outnumbered by the moochers, but the odds aren’t as bad as the election would suggest. Obama’s win was engineered, count on it. I did NOT imagine all that information I collected canvassing the east coast and midwest. Just wait, stories about Wisconsin will leak out as well.

  14. Greg B says:

I saw that article at duffle of too, but was really unsure of the veracity only because the site was put together so strangely.
Not that I doubt for a nanosecond the libs wouldn’t suppress the Military vote.
    ———————
Looked into it further Greg and the site is devoted to parody. Pulled my comments regarding military vote.
My response to Messup’s post remains valid as does the bit I left about the struggle Col West is going thru right now.

  15. Locke n Load says:

Look,, I understand we aren’t going to make any discernable headway in the media fight but we had DAMN well better understand the system is now completely corrupted. The Clintons are no longer the head of the Dem party, the Marxist Obama-ites are. This is more than a societal change, its a game change in the structure of our electoral system. The fuckers are geting away with this so easily you’d think we were Venez-fucking-uela! Guys, this means they’re capable of much more. MUCH more.
The people haven’t turned as much as the system has, remember that. 2012 was the final nail in the coffin for the Rule of Law. And our press and representatives are too terrified to expose it

  16. Greg B says:

    That last sentence exactly.
But I think the media isn’t terrified, it’s culpable.

  17. Locke n Load says:

The press is a bunch of pussies. If they thought their lives were in danger for exposing the truth they’d simply NOT write. They wouldn’t expose shit, they’d just look away.
    Which makes them culpable. Touche’
