People need to understand that the US needs to stand with Israel because of rocket attacks like this. Most Americans assume that living anywhere else in the world is the same as living here, only better. Until we can dispel that myth, the uninformed will keep pushing for us to get shittier.
Ive said many times that I’m cool with our government using any means necessary to defend the dollar, including war. So long as my kids get to grow up not ever knowing what a mortar attack feels and sounds like, I’m a-ok. People don’t recognize the luxury of security that we have here.

side note: the iron dome is a direct offshoot of the uber-maligned Star Wars program started under Reagan. the same scientists and engineers we began with ended up doing joint work with the israelis. its been a shared effort, no q. this is close to the same tech that obama caved to the russians on regarding polish defense.
