Hamas Cowards Launch Missiles Next To Playground

TEL AVIV – A missile launch site in the Gaza Strip was set up by Hamas just half a block from a mosque and children’s playground, according to aerial photographs provided to KleinOnline by the Israel Defense Forces today.

Israel on Wednesday carried out a surgical strike of the site in question – a Fajr-5 missile launch pad established in the heavily populated Zeitoun district of Gaza to fire long range rockets into the Jewish state.

The photograph of the launch site, posted above, shows a children’s playground and a mosque located about a half a block away as well as two civilian factories and a gas station also within a half a block radius.

I would like to have a serious, adult-minded conversation about this issue. How do we (or Israel, anyone really) use an organized military to effectively battle non-combatants who have entrenched themselves within the civilian populace?

The organized force should give notice that said military activity zone will be destroyed and that any collateral damaging resulting from the strike is principally due to the unlawful actions of those embedding themselves within the community. Basically, “If you allow this to be established in your neighborhood, don’t cry to us when we kill you.” This type of counter-strike is typically considered bad form, but it’s the only way to fight cowards whose idea of body-armor is putting women & children’s bodies in front of them.

    Nota,

Here’s my proposal. Create computer controlled artillery units and place them on the border. Add radar tracking for incoming ballistic mortar and missile fire.

Explain to your neighbor the following.
    1) We have installed a computer controlled artillery system.
    2) It is programmed to do the following.
    a) Determine the source of incoming rounds and destroy it.
    b) The system will not take into account what is near the incoming source.

Drop leaflets with this message all over the Gaza Strip.

Go on TV and explain to the world this new defense system.

Call in the Gaza “government” and explain the new defense system.

Then, when they attack, simply say they knew what would happen if they attacked.

    Cyberdyne Solution 101.

In just war, all collateral damage to noncombatants located near combatants should be deemed the fault of the combatants who positioned themselves near noncombatants, not those who attacked them.

Burn it down. Looks like you get a three-fer. Take out the launch site and two terrorist training centers. This is the SOP for these cowards. The only way to take it on is head on. The missiles firing from there are killing civilians too. Why should the ones fired upon be hamstrung by the placement of enemy installations. If they are launching a nuke in two hours from the middle of a pediatric hospital, I’d burn it down. No difference.

Do like we did in Germany air drop thousands of cheap assed .45 derringer loaded with two rounds along with instructions to head shoot missle launching crews before they fire a missle toward Israel to prevent total destruction of a two block area immediately following missle launch

  5. rj says:

actually that plan was so the citizens could take out lone soldiers and take their guns for armed resistance since Hitler had confiscated the peoples guns early on…the principle still works though

  6. Frank in Texas says:

We have not won a war since WWII. Does anyone know why that is? Anyone? The answer is that we had balls and backbone in WWII. We carpet bombed, fire bombed and nuked any and everyone around the enemy combatants. Until we get that mindset again we will not win any more wars. Israel needs to use that mindset against the terrorists in Gaza. Until they do they will not get anywhere with stopping the rocket and missle attacks.

I’d say we won the war pretty decisively in Iraq. We may yet lose the peace but the war was won.

  8. notamobster says:

I agree on Iraq. We won, but…

It seemed like we were getting our ass kicked for a long time. The reason is exactly what Frank is talking about. We allow our media to dictate what our ROE are going to be and wonder why the enemy hides behind women & children (besides being cowards).

The object of war is to kill & destroy. Break your enemies will to fight. Pound them into submission. We don’t allow our warriors to do that which we pay them to do. That is asinine.

  9. R.D. Walker says:

    True.

  10. John B. says:

IMHO none of these will fix the problem. Too many of these parents are willing to sacrifice their children for allah. As long as the world press is going to show dead & wounded Palestinian children, they will hide missiles behind the children. Just on the chance of swaying public opinion.
