Gaza invasion imminent?

The interviewer in the video doesn’t seem to understand that civilians killed on attacks on Hamas – who is launching rockets at Israel from among civilians – is the fault of Hamas. The idea that combatants can launch assaults from among civilians and expect that they will be shielded from retaliation is absurd and only guarantees that civilians will be a permanent part of warfare.

Who believes that interviewer was as tough with the Russians regarding their invasion of Georgia or reduction of Grozny to rubble?

It looks like it is about to become more precision. Israel is massing troops on the border.

The Israeli military pressed ahead with its aggressive offensive against Palestinian rocket operations Sunday, intercepting at least two rockets fired toward Tel Aviv with the country’s new `Iron Dome’ missile defense system.
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said two rockets were fired Sunday. It was impossible to immediately reconcile the reports.

Thousands of Israeli troops are massed near the Gaza border, meanwhile, awaiting an order to invade should Israeli leaders decide to widen the operation.

“The Israeli military is prepared to significantly expand the operation,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting.

Perhaps Israel should declare that it considers the Gaza Strip part of Egypt and hold that country responsible.

This asshat believes that because Hamas has inferior weapons systems, Israel shouldn’t be hitting them – and just because the Hamas rockets aren’t killing tens of thousands of people, Israel should just put up with it. The defense spokesman handled the situation very well.

Sample of the interview (in your best Python accent):

Israeli: “We have been willing to negotiate but Hummus has to put down their arms.”

RT: “Ah, ah, correction – Hummus has put down their weapons. They’ve put them down all over Israel.”

Israeli: “Exactly my point. They’re indiscriminately targeting civilians from civilian embedded launch sites.”

RT: “Ah, but they’re not getting as many kills as you are, so you’re just being a big ol’ bully then, eh?”

Israel: “Our military has called off strikes when Hummus has moved civilians into the strike zone with aircraft en route.”

RT: “Oh, I see how it is then, those people are seeking shelter and you’re targeting their shelters, then eh?”

Israeli civilians being targeted is OK, but Gaza casualties are off limits because of world censure. This is the “gray” concept of no such thing as right or wrong from the Left. The Shitty People with Shitty morals change the rules, when rules are inconvenient for them.

I had lunch with an Israeli a week ago, and he answered all my questions about the region. It’s interesting to see it play out in the news as he said. Arab children in Gaza schools are indoctrinated to wipe out Israel. If the people of Gaza don’t want Israel defending herself with mortars, then they must take responsibility for the reqion under their control and not start wars.

I don’t agree with this modern concept that civilians do not take responsibility for the actions of the leaders they support. I am sympathetic to the dissenting individual in a country of Shitty People who collectively cause these problems, though.

This is the two-story home of the Commander of Gaza’s Hamas Military Wing:

Or… it used to be the home of. :-)

  4. James says:

It wasn’t always the Commander’s home. It used to belong to someone who paid for it. Likely the rightful owner was thrown out and killed during a regime change.

I agree. Some petty tyrant probably stole someone’s bought & paid-for home
….and had it remodeled by the Israeli Air Force while he was in it.

I’m just glad the rat-bastard is dead.
