   I had commented to my Israeli friend, that since Gaza is on the Mediterranean, it must be choice real estate. He commented “You don’t want to go there. It’s an overpopulated slum. They don’t produce much, and Israel provides them with electricty, water, and building materials. If we shut electricity off when they bomb us, the world complains.”

   So the question is:

   Do we applaud his correct actions now because it is the right thing to do?

   or

   Do we turn up our noses because he wasn’t doing it when it would have mattered?

   I’m torn, but I lean to the first. Perhaps, maybe, just maybe we can convince other journalists–through bribing them with more praise, why not–to act similarly over the long run.

   Then again… Plan B. Screw the lot of them and their laughable “narrative.”
