Mitt lives rent free in the minds of running dog media hacks

Dana Milbank over at the Pravda-on-the-Potomac isn’t happy with Mitt Romney getting on with his life. He trashed Mitt during the campaign and now is trashing him as he moves on.

The nation is heading toward the “fiscal cliff,” but have no fear: Mitt Romney is coming to the rescue — of Marriott International Inc.

In his first public comments since election night, the defeated Republican presidential nominee issued a statement Monday announcing his next step. An appeal to national unity? A charitable initiative?

No, he announced that he was rejoining the hotel chain’s board of directors. “It is an honor to once again be able to serve in the company of leaders like Bill Marriott,” said Romney’s statement, distributed by Marriott.

It was emblematic of the tone-deaf, I-have-some-great-friends-that-are-NASCAR-team-owners moments that contributed to his loss. The country is in a crisis, political leaders in a standoff, and Romney is joining his buddy’s corporate board.

Romney is a private citizen now and free to do as he chooses. But it’s not as if he needs the money; the $170,000 in cash and stock that Marriott directors received in the most recent year reported is but a sliver of the $20 million or so Romney takes in annually from his investments.

God forbid Mitt engage in commerce, trade, entrepreneurialism, industry, wealth creation or – gasp – capitalism.

What drives Milbank to obsess over Romney’s life as a now private citizen? Well, I would say it is a Marxist belief system coupled with disappointment. Milbank was obviously licking his chops in anticipation that Mitt would make a public announcement on the debt ceiling negotiations, the looming fiscal cliff or some other public matter so that he could scream, “Shut up! You lost! Go away!” His disappointment must be a bitter pill to swallow.

With his political career behind him, nothing would make me happier than if Mitt went full bore capitalist and built a multi-billion dollar empire… headquartered in the Caymans. He won’t, however. Mitt is a better man than I am.

It wouldn’t be surprised to see Marriott Hotels get some special attention from the IRS real soon.

God, Milbank has to be a complete loser.

If Dana Milbank and Keith Olbermann had a baby, it would be Joe Dirt.

They might try… although they are both ostensibly men.

I’m sure Milbank thinks Romney should have to give up all his stuff because he lost the election.
Probably can’t stand the fact that Romney spent so much money, and likely doesn’t even notice it’s gone.
Although I have no idea how much was his personally.

while this is typical dirtbag leftist behavior, considering the way that Mr and Mrs. Romney acted during the campaign I feel confident saying that this bothers him NADA

It’s like atheists that attack Christmas and Jesus Christ. It does nothing to alter or waver MY faith, it just shows the world what is lacking in the accuser’s life.
