Shooter at Oregon Mall

At least one dead, several wounded.

Just before 5 p.m., investigators said there was no longer an active shooting scene and the shooter had been “neutralized.”

No clarification was given when asked to expand on the term “neutralized.”

Deputies reported at least one person had been killed and multiple people were wounded, but could not yet provide an exact number of victims.

Deputies do not believe there were any other shooters.

Witnesses tell Fox 12 they saw a tall slender man in all black wearing a white hockey mask carrying an assault rifle.

    Our nation is DOOMED!!!

“But what caught my attention, I could smell the gunpowder,’’ Garcia said. “That’s what pretty much made me run. The gunpowder is what made me react.’’

“It’s pretty crazy stuff. You never expect anything to happen like this,’’ Garcia said. “I’m just shocked that we’re trending on Twitter because of this. It’s horrible.’’

I suspect we will see the liberal media now claim it was tea party right wing loon and all semi auto, no, all guns should be banned or similar….

Anyway, sad day for many families and those who suffered the terror of a nut job.

Concealed Carry could have benefited if anyone was around or if Oregon even has such a thing.

Uhh, we’re not supposed to politicize these things but…
I lay 50:1 odds he was a lefty nutbag. If he were a right wing nut he’d have had better aim…..
    Oops…too soon?

I heard this morning that his firearm jammed and that saved many people’s lives. He got off 60 rounds and 2 died, one injured, and he shot himself. I’d say that his lack of firearms experience saved many people’s lives.

I dread the day that a real shooter goes on a rampage.

Food for thought everyone, make sure of situational awareness while in public places with your family.

always discuss ahead of time what you will be expecting them to do if something breaks out, your first duty is to help get your family away safely, plan ahead, let your wife and kids know without a doubt, if you say run while pointing to the nearest exit you expect them to immediately and completely comply. Seconds count it will be no time for delay or discussion.

Always have a rally point, if you should get separated during the mele, meet at car or specific area.

If you feel the need to confront a shooter there is no need to make any verbal confrontation and shooting him in the back of the head is acceptable tactics.

Last but not least be prepared to immediatley drop your gun should you hear or see police so that you dont become mistaken for the bad guy.

Incidents like these are why I have gone to full size pistol with xtra magazines

Locke: I was thinking three figures. 77 is high, but do you get an asterisk if it is all children? I know you get a special place in hell, but I would say the VT guy worked harder for it.

Just saying – These guys are worried about what happens when somebody goes out and buys an AR and 600,000 rounds of ammo. I’m worried about the guy that can shoot.

    Apparently the rifle was stolen.
