    Oh no..

    Twenty-seven people are dead including 14 children after a gunman opened fire at an elementary school in Newtown, CBS News reports.

    Officials say the gunman was also killed and apparently had two guns. It happened around 9:40 a.m. Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

    That’s only about the most horrifying story ever.

    Stredain was actually my principal in grade school.
    I’d ask him and any other school admninistrator the same thing: why cant we arm the school admins? Why cant they respond with deadly force instead of waiting for the police?
    Where is the virtue in being helpless?

  6. Van-a-gram says:

    Prepare for the “ban guns” cry to get ratcheted up another several points. In fact, its already started. Do you think if this whackaloon nut job blew the school up with a bomb there would be any mention of banning bombs? Or if he plowed his Ford F-150 through a crowd of people? No — they would all be talking about HIM and what a monster HE is.

    This is horrific, but THE GUY was a monster, not the inanimate object he used to commit his crime. The ban-gun argument is disingenuous and distracts from the real issue: The world is a dangerous place and full of crazy people. There is a reason wolves kill the other wolves that act weird. They know that the weird-acting wolf is a danger to the pack. Maybe we should be focusing on killing off the nut jobs instead of perpetually trying to “fix” them. $1,000 says this guy has a history of mental illness, violence or both.

  7. R.D. Walker says:

    Handguns…

    Two handguns have been recovered at the scene and police have cordoned off a black Honda believed to belong to the dead shooter.

    While I wholeheartedly agree that this is a most horrific occurrence. I would also like to point out that millions of law abiding gun owners didn’t kill anyone today. We cannot allow ourselves to be defined by the aberration.

    Shooter’s parents did not have access to free birth control.

  12. R.D. Walker says:

    Assault weapons are banned in CT.

    The Federal Gun Free School Zones Act prohibits carrying of a weapon, openly or concealed, within 1000 feet of a school zone.

    At 20, he couldn’t legally be in possession of a handgun.

    He couldn’t have a CT CCW permit at 20.

    And, of course, there is a law against murder that has pretty stiff penalties.

    What law would have prevented this?

    • Locke n Load says:

      there ya go with logic again when clearly what is called for here is searing EMOTION! Enough of your left-brain tyranny!

    • xiphos says:

      Another source says the gunman was 23 years old.

      • R.D. Walker says:

        Still, I bet he didn’t have a CT CCW permit or a licence to have a handgun in CT.

        In fact, he is going to turn out to me just like the CO movie theater shooter: Just a pathetic, low life loser who, on a planet of three and a half billion females, couldn’t find a single one to twiddle his pitiful, limp dick. Every one of these shooters is a twisted, dickless, weeping vajajay of failed maleness.

    • notamobster says:

      He was from New Jersey, 4th stiffest gun control laws in the nation! Shooting in Conn where assault weapons are illegal (& so is murder), yet he still went on a crazy rampage. Some people are just plain evil.

      The folks who want to take away our right to self-defense have already taken it from those whose senseless death would cause the deepest emotional impact: Preachers, teachers, and children.

      • notamobster says:

        I looked at his Facebook page. Then, Facebook pulled it down. Looked like a normal-ish guy. Like an early twenties artsy/theatre/D&D kinda fella.

  13. DarthJay says:

    This is so sad…and a week before Christmas. Man, I can’t image what those families are going though. I am so glad we homeschool our kids. It’s a sad day when you metal detectors and security guards at a freakin’ elementary school…

  14. Greg B says:

    I’m going to step out on the conspiracy limb here.
    With the rash of mass shootings lately, AZ, CO, OR, and now CT,
    although I’ve never heard anything to indicate this, what are the chances of these guys being “true believers”?
    Mass murder to achieve total firearms bans in the US.

        michigan notamobster says:

        I had this thought, too. Timing is incredibly convenient. I expect the rate of mass-killings to uptick dramatically in the near-future.

        • R.D. Walker says:

          C’mon. Dude targeted his mother and her classroom and did most of his killing there. She is dead.

          • notamobster says:

            I bet we find out he was liberal.

            I’m not saying it’s “conspiracy of lefties to ban guns”, but I see an uptick in this mess coming – from that end of the spectrum.

            One does it, then another mimics the behavior… feeding into their depraved fantasies. Oh, don’t forget, I don’t have tv. I’m getting my news from the real revo & facebook. Ha!

  15. rider says:

    Having dropped off my grandson at school for kindergarten yesterday this really hit me. I am sickened at what happened, yet confused why the “proper” response will be to call for banning guns in some form. As mentioned before why can’t the schools have administration people conceal carry? Oh – I know…if we allow that to happen then the evil gun will take over that person and make them kill. Please pray for the families today is a horror they will never forget.

  16. D2A/L says:

    True Evil!
    I pray for all involved. May God grant them some measure of peace, and comfort their souls.
    The murder(s) escaped judgement on Earth, but will await a far greater judgement.

    • R.D. Walker says:

      Yeah, these guys dig the idea of being evil. When we confirm their dark fantasies, we only encourage other cretins to think, “Yeah, evil is fucking badass! Maybe I should do something like that.”

      Better to call them what they are: Cowardly pussies advertising to the world their inability satisfy women or even get it up. Better they should find some quiet place and take a drink from the .12 gauge drinking fountain. At least then the world wouldn’t know what failures as men they are.

      • R.D. Walker says:

        What do you know? Ace is saying the same thing.

        To the average people, the idea of being called Evil is bracing and restraining. Not to these fellers. All of these bizarre murders are motivated, at root, by the psychology of utter failure. These are flop-sweat murders, sexual panic murders, too weak to carry on murders. Reporting them as such would not only provide at least as small disincentive to the Power Fantasy losers who commit them, but would actually be much, much closer to the truth than “Heavy Metal poisoned his mind.”

        • notamobster says:

          This is the natural bi-product of raising people against their biological programming. Males of the species are biologically programmed to fight, hunt, and mate.

          Then, many compensate for their lack of physical/biological acumen by overcompensating with simulations like pornography or video games.

          When we socially engineer these traits out of existence, they manifest themselves in negative ways.

          • R.D. Walker says:

            Anyone who murderers unarmed people obviously has some kind of pathetic, sexual dysfunction.

            I mean, it would better to be found dead hanging in your closet from a pair of pantyhose around your neck, a Tiger Beat photo spread of Justin Beiber before you, a stream of semen running down your leg, next to an iPad on a website with DIY instructions for autoerotic asphyxiation.

  17. Locke n Load says:

    death toll up to 20 kids now….
    this is just too much to swallow.

  18. Gager says:

    Interesting that had the perpetrator lived, the same people calling for banning guns would defend the bad guy’s right to life, thus preserving his potential for committing further mayhem.

  19. R.D. Walker says:

    The gunman’s mother was shot dead in Connecticut, not in New Jersey, according to the latest reports from NBC. Lanza’s mother was a kindergarten teacher at the school, and it is reported that most of the dead children were in her classroom. Meanwhile, it’s being reported that Lanza’s attack on the school involved three weapons, a rifle and two 9mm pistols.

    They are now saying he was 24, not 20.

    • R.D. Walker says:

      After making a public show of his tiny, tiny penis.

      I am serious. If we stop portraying these cretins as dark, brooding and evil public enemies and start treating them as sexually dysfunctional eunuchs incapable of satisfying any woman anywhere, fewer people will try to go out in a blaze of evil glory. I doubt this guy wanted photos of his teeny, tiny limp dick posted on the Internet.

      • Locke n Load says:

        i’m dead serious too RD.
        When i hear ‘the shooter is dead’ i immediately think NOT DEAD ENOUGH.
        his corpse should be a public spectacle

  22. R.D. Walker says:

    They now say the killer was not 24 year old Ryan Lanza, who was arrested, but may be innocent of everything; now they say the killer was his 20 year old younger brother Adam.

    • Greg B says:

      Wasn’t his brother, the 24 yr old, hiding in the woods near the school?
      Could HE have pushed his younger, disturbed brother to do this?

  23. R.D. Walker says:

    Drudge…

    Ryan Lanza, 24, brother of gunman Adam Lanza, 20, tells authorities that his younger brother is autistic, or has Asperger syndrome and a “personality disorder.” Neighbors described the younger man to ABC as “odd” and displaying characteristics associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

  24. notamobster says:

    I was just coming to post that, RD. Weird situation, that.

  25. sortahwitte says:

    We had talked earlier about the mumbo jumbo kook talk before the mayan calendar ran out. We spoke of group suicides, mass murder, then suicides, and all the accompanying happenings. Could this be some of it?

    Maybe we could finance a national ad that says the first step to mayan “serenity” is to eat a shotgun.

  26. RJ says:

    I don’t care what his name was, what pathetic motivations against his mother were, or even that he was autistic or not.

    I cry for the children this souless bastard murdered, I cry for the parents of the poor murderd children. I cry for the other adult victims of this murdering bastard and their family.

    The one thing I want to know is, how many more of these spree murders is it going to take before the real men in this country stand up and say never again will we be allow ourselves to be forced into the kill zones known as “gun free” zones.

    How many more innocents must be slaughtered by pukes like this before the real men in this country march into their state capitals and demand that the politicians remove “constraints” placed against self protection and protection of innocent victims.

    It sickens me to think of the terror these children went through at the hands of this pathetic excuse of a human.

    The only other thing I can add was I fucking wish I’d been in that class room today.

    May God Grant the victims eternal peace and the murdering bastard a place in the hottest corner of hell… amen.

  27. R.D. Walker says:

    A man who voted twice to allow living children of botched abortions to be left in linen closets to die slow deaths got emotional about the deaths of children that didn’t get aborted.

    An emotional President Obama, wiping away tears and choking up as he spoke, said Friday that “our hearts are broken” for the families of the victims in the deadly mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school.

    Yeah, he took the opportunity just prior to where you started your quote, to day that we’ve seen those too many times over the last couple years.

  29. Rockheim says:

    Thank God this was a gun free zone so that things like this can’t ever happen there.

    Christ on a bike juggling chainsaws… WTF is wrong with people? Not only with people who would dare to commit such atrocities but with others who think that safety comes from a few words on paper from the local politicians banning this or that?

    My thoughts and prayers are with those who are suffering.. truly suffering from these events..

  30. messup says:

    Gun control is again a very hot topic Another crazed gunman, 27 innocent lives taken and a President (Obama) appearing on national media with a teary-eyed version of feigned hurt and anger at a US Constitutional Right to buy, hold and carry a weapon in accordance with all pertinent rules, regulations, laws and mandates.

    With recent electoral victories in US Senate, House and Executive branches of American governance, emboldened MSM, We The Elite People of culture of corruption in Washington DC and Democratic minions are amazed at the alarmingly high numbers of armed homicides this 2012 across all American 50 states. Ergo, the rabid call for “Gun control, its time!” Is it, really??? Let’s look at some real numbers and decide.
    USA’s national average of homicides per 100,000 stands at 4.2 (2012) or a total of 12,996.
    Highest rates are found in all of Africa, Carribean (Cuba 5.0), Central America (Honduras 91.6), North America(Mexico 16.6), South America (Brazil 21.0 or a total of 40,974) more about Brazil who has the highest homicide rate, higher than Ethiopia (22.5 or 20,239).
    I.197 Nations
    USA = 4.2/100,000 or 12,996
    China = 1.0/100,000 or 13,410
    Russia = 10.2/100,00 or 14,574
    II.Sub Region
    1)Carribean = 16.9/100,000 or 7,001
    2)Central America = 28.5/100,000 or 45,050
    3)Northern America = 3.9/100,000 or 13,558
    4)South America = 20.0/100,000 or 79,050
    III.By Region
    Africa = 17.0/100,000 or 169,105
    Americas = 15.4/100,000 or 144,648
    Asia = 3.1/100,000 or 127,120
    Europe = 3.5/100,000 or 24,025
    Oceania = 2.9/100,000 or 1,108
    IV.World Total
    6.9/100,000 or 466,078
    V.Conclusion – anyway one wishes to examine USA’s homicide rate as it pertains to “Gun Control” realizes that 4.2/100,000 or 12,996 is below:1) World statistics, 2) Nearer to Asian numbers while below Regional Americas numbers, and 3)is on target for Northern Americas numbers by sub region.
    VI.Facts: Brazil has some of the most stringent: pertinent rules, regulations, laws and mandates on record as regards weapons, arms and “Gun Control.” Stricter than in Britain. Yet HBO and NATGEO the week of 12/09/2012 ran a series, hosted by reporter Hoagland, titled “Witness:Rio” where he documented 900 “favelas”( ghettos) surrounding all of Rio de Janeiro (some having as few as 1,000 inhabitants, others having as many as 200,000). 18 of these ghettos were considered “pacified” by Rio’s special Elite forces “Batallion of Special Operations” or BOPE.

    Shown were CV = Comando Vermelho (Red Command), drug traffickers controlling all or most of these ghettos, armed with RPG’s = Rocket Propelled Granade Launchers, AK-47’s. sophisticated sniper armaments, body armour and close combat abilities with automatic weapons. As the report was ending, a resident of one of these ghettos stated, “every day, killings and murders happen.” Bodies are hidden (one shown in a storm drain). “Microwaving” is a favored form of torture or immoliation: a suspect is imprisoned in four or six tires. These are dowsed in gasoline, set fire and suspect is later found carbonized. “BOPE says,” this resident continued, “murder, homicides are falling precipitously.” “ Sure,” she later averred, “ hide the body (no body), homicides will fall.”
    USA “Gun Control?” NAH! Follow the laws already on the books. Pray. Amen.

    Messup: Great information!

    Gun Control isn’t about guns, it is & has been – always & everywhere – about control.

  32. BaconNeggs says:

    How do you make sense of the senseless?
    How is it possible in a free world to stop random acts of senseless violence?

    The simply answer is that it cannot be stopped, ever.

    I agree that we need to show that a person who kills themself or others are too weak and cowardly to face the everyday challenges of life we all face, yet evil, really does describe the mentality of a person who can kill an innocent child, let alone children.

    May be this 20 year old f–k didnt like his mother telling him get his ass out of bed and go look for a job. Maybe he just resented his mother caring more for kindergarten children than her own 20 year old son, hence the jealous rage to kill his mother and all that she valued.

    Either way he is one sick evil cowardly f–k!

  33. fubar says:

    http://www.largo.org/Lott.html

    authors:

    In 1996, the most comprehensive “gun control” study of all time was published by John Lott of the University of Chicago Law School. Fifteen years of FBI files from all 3,054 counties in our country were analyzed regarding the correlation between the occurrence of violent crime and the prevalence of concealed weapons on law-abiding citizens. Invariably, where responsible, law-abiding citizens were allowed to carry firearms, the rate of violent crime plummeted. The criminals were afraid to attack those who “might” be armed.
    Professor Gary Kleck is a life long (self-avowed) liberal democrat, author of Point Blank: Guns and Violence in America. He had expected the research involved in that writing to infer negatively on gun ownership. He discovered a vast amount of violent crimes were prevented by firearms usage. Even though this was contrary to his original premise, he had the integrity to stand by his research. Although that book was awarded the best book (of 1993) on criminology by the American Society of Criminology it was largely ignored by gun control advocates such as most medical journals and our Government’s Justice Department and Center for Disease Control.

    my prayers go out to the families and the community that they may find peace and solace in this time.
