Rabid Nanny Demands”Immediate Executive Action” On Guns

There is no shorter road to violent, armed, revolt. Just saying…

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg isn’t satisfied with President Obama’s promise Friday to take “meaningful action” to prevent future mass shootings.

“[T]he country needs him to send a bill to Congress to fix this problem – and take immediate executive action,” he said in a statement in his capacity as co-chair of Mayors Against Illegal Guns. “Calling for ‘meaningful action’ is not enough. We have heard that rhetoric before. What we have not seen is leadership – not from the president and not from Congress. That must end today. This is a national tragedy and it demands a national response. My deepest sympathies are with the families of all those affected, and my determination to stop this madness is stronger than ever.”

First of all, God bless the children and the families that this horror fell upon.
Also, God bless the police officers for their impending psychological trauma. They will visit those horrible sights every night in their dreams.
I speak with authority as having a 30 career as lead investigator for homicide and sex crimes against children.

This part is for the rare liberal that trolls the blog sites looking for whatever they need to qualify their indefensible mantras.

There is no need to preach to the choir.

What does it take to get the Nanny types to look at the stats that empirically show that states with reasonable and unfettered gun restrictions have demonstrably lower murder and crime rates?

Why not arm the teachers? CCW works.

How about securing every school ?
No one can have access to classroom areas accept school personnel.

These 2 preventative measures should give you the warm and fuzzy feelings that liberals enjoy so much when it becomes time for a knee jerk reaction.

My wife surprised the hell out of me Friday night. She said that now is the time to arm-before they do something stupid like a ban on ammo or semi-autos.
I bought an AR 15 Bushmaster Friday night for recreational shooting and if need be, home defense. Only criminals need fear me or my wife or for that matter any one of the 250 million + law abiding gun owners.

I agree. My guns don’t hurt anyone, unless… That door on my house – is there to protect the evildoer from me, not the other way around.
