The World’s Greatest Gun Salesman is at it again…

Nobody sells guns like Bronco Bama!

The prospect of a renewed assault weapons ban in the wake of the Connecticut school massacre has set of a round of buying, as thousands of Americans head to their local gun store to secure the popular AR-15 — the model used by the school gunman — before potential government prohibitions on their purchase.

They are also buying the .223 ammunition used by the AR-15 and the type of high-capacity magazines covered under the last federal assault weapons ban, which Congress let expire without renewing.

• The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says it set a new record for single-day background check submittals this past weekend.

• In San Diego, Northwest Armory gun store owner Karl Durkheimer said Saturday “was the biggest day we’ve seen in 20 years. Sunday will probably eclipse that.”

• In southwest Ohio, from dawn to dusk a Cincinnati gun show had a line of 400 waiting to get in, said Joe Eaton of the Buckeye Firearms Association.

“Sales were through the roof on Saturday,” said Eaton. “People were buying everything they could out of fear the president would try to ban certain guns and high-capacity magazines.”

heard on the radio that Dick’s Sporting Goods is pulling this model in sensitivity to the Newtown shooting– “til further notice”

Not sure if this is statewide,, this was stated on a harrisburg AM station.

  3. Rich says:

According to CNN (ahem … cough, cough),

“Dick’s Sporting Goods, one of the largest sporting goods retailers in the world, says it has removed all guns from its store nearest to Newtown, Connecticut, and is suspending the sale of certain kinds of semi-automatic rifles from its chains nationwide.”

“It was unclear how long the store will keep the suspension in place for the [certain kinds of semi-automatic rifles] guns, known as ‘modern sporting rifles.’ ”

Apparently local law enforcement are looking to see if the dirtbag tried to buy a rifle at Dick’s. So far they have found nothing to indicate such. And Dick’s asserts that it has no record of a sale to dirtbag either.

So, Dick’s has apparenty done not one damn thing wrong here. Despite this they are acting guilty. And so is the NRA, and far too many once staunch pro-2nd-Amendment politicians.

Weasels … every one of them. And dangerously stupid too.

CNN has it wrong. (i know, no big surprise there)

They are reporting that Dick’s (based in Pittsburgh) has pulled rifles from display and the Bushmaster not for sale til pending further notice.

      the collective insanity is contagious

Stopped by Cabela’s on Monday around lunchtime.. Usually there’s only 5 or 6 people up there, at the counter and milling about.. Monday.. 50 people.. the counter was packed end to end.. The line to the register was a cue that was 4 lanes deep. They had 5 girls there just processing paperwork..
I stopped by a local gunshop today. Where they had stacks of boxes of AR’s.. there was a table with a handful left. Where they had racks and racks of guns to handle.. they had maybe 10 left. The entire back wall was covered with magazines.. all empty. I talked to the kid at the counter who has been walking me through my waffling on an AR or .308 Ruger GS scout.. He said it’s been crazy. He said people are coming in.. asking which are the “assault rifles” about to be banned.. and then asking how many they can buy.. Still other people are coming in asking about the hig cap clips and mags.. When asked for which platform (AR/AK, Caliber, colors, etc) they simply state they don’t care and are buying them up 10 and 20 at a time. It’s absolutely CRAZY…

Had a buddy call around to find a Ruger Mini-14 Ranch with a wooden stock. He figures it is basically an AR-15 that is designed to be invisible to the moonbat eye. Other people must be thinking the same thing because none are to be found.

Surprisingly.. They had 2 of them at Blythe’s on the wall.. And a couple Mini-30′s.. They seem to be escaping notice for now..

I think Barack Obama is a plant, hired by the firearms industry to increase sales!

He should get “Salesman of the whole of human history award” and a permanent vacation to Hawaii, for his trouble.

  7. KJ says:

I’m really kicking myself in the ass for not buying an AR, or the parts to build one before the election. I might have to start looking at the Mini’s.

I heard today that my local gun shop, which is one of the largest dealers in the state, was about out of the AR’s they had on hand. I was in there less than two months ago and they had all kinds of them, hard to believe they would be about out with what they had on hand then.

  8. KJ says:

Just tried going on CTD to look at gun prices, couldn’t find any listed. I then tried Buds Gunshop, couldn’t access their page. Thought I’d do a search and came up with this.
