Stocking up…

Demand is up, supply is down… Welcome to P2. If you are a bargain shopper, you are two months too late.

Ammunition Stock levels have fallen by more than 90% from the pre-Election Day levels. Less than 10% remains available. Available Ammunition links will be updated throughout the day.

Same as four years ago, just a bit more extreme due to the ongoing gun ban talk. Hopefully the firearm and ammo manufacturers can get some idea about what the future holds for them (like slamming the door on ban talks) and they will hire more people and ramp up production. If Barry played this right, it could turn into a boon for the economy. The only problem here is that Barry always picks losers. Are there any solar or wind powered rifles out there?

Talk about missing the boat big time.. It’s just been over the last 6 months that I decided I need couple new rifles.. WOW did I miss that boat.. And after a great range day 2 weeks back I need to replenish my 9mm levels and am greeted by big empty spaces on the shelves.

I can’t seem to locate bulk ammo. So far I’ve been able to find
50 round boxes at the local shops. So I’ve been picking up a couple every week. But nowhere near the levels I’d like to be at.
As far as rifles, both shops closest to me were just about sold out in a couple days.
I just ordered a new upper half. But I’m fearful it might take a loooong time before I see it.

Buy some reloading gear. And components. Then learn to reload your empties.

A couple years ago it was difficult to find primers and powder. Buy primers by the carton (1,000). Buy powder by the caddy – 4 or 8 lb containers. Buy bullets by bulk – 500 or 1,000 at a time. The brass is reusable.

Now is the time to do it. Factory loaded ammunition is gone from the shelves. Components will be next.

Got any recommendations on reloading presses?
Or better yet, know of any sources for drawings?
I’d rather build than buy, if possible.
