The Debt and a Worthless Government

Appearing on Meet the Press this morning, former Republican senator Alan Simpson and former Clinton chief of staff Erskine Bowles, the chairman of the president’s deficit reduction commission, pretty much laid out what a joke the United States government has become.

Elections have consequences. In November voters rejected the entitlement reform offered by Romney/Ryan and chose instead to continue our massive spending and deficits. The plan, to the extent there is one, is to pass the bill on to our kids. Our government is corrupt and irresponsible and it is exactly for what American people voted.
