Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good.

Yesterday evening as I pulled into Church, my prayers and the prayers of many here and elsewhere were answered. I was offered a full-time position with a company I have made applications to and have interviewed with for the past several months. I was offered a greater salary than I asked for along with a substantial monthly bonus for the first three months of my employment. How does that happen during times like this?

I really didn’t think I would get this job. This is a big company and the Human Resources department at companies this large typically don’t entertain the thought of hiring someone who has to disclose a LOT of things that could be expected to be found in a background check. There are plenty of people looking an applying for jobs right now, so it wasn’t as if there was a lack of candidates to fill the position. ALL that happened here was by the hand of Almighty God.

It is also by the Grace of God that I have a REAL family here at the Real Revo who loves me. You lifted me up in my darkest moments. You helped to sustain me when I was at the end of my endurance and ability to sustain myself. You are the best friends anyone could ever hope to have. I can’t be here as much as I would like to be, due to internet accessibility but I am getting back on my feet and will be able to contribute to my family more regularly in the near future.

Because God has been so good to me, I have to offer a song of praise. It’s a song I have published to this forum on several occasions. It presents a simple truth. During this time of trial I learned just how weak I really am but God promises that in times of weakness that HIS strength is made known. That TRUTH is on display today.

We have another Revoista here who needs employment. Please remember Notamobster in your prayers. God will surely do for him what he has done for me.

Awsome Madbrad…I always look to Roman 5:3-5 in my daily trials…
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

    Amen Brother.

Good for you MadBrad!! I find myself praying so much more now that my walk with GOD has just begun thanks to my one and only little brother. God Bless you and The Revo!!!

Still praying for nota, still praying for you, Brad. I confess that only God’s timing is perfect. More than once, I have gone off on my own and missed a blessing. Men and governments can’t speak the truth. Only God is faithful.

WTG MB! Sounds like a good job… perhaps a great career… and worth waiting for even if doing so put you further ‘out on a limb’ than you ever thought you could tolerate. Tolerate it you did and now that you’re over the hump no doubt the world looks a bit different.

Similar situation for my family in June… we were stretched to the limit when God threw us a lifeline. We’re still climbing out of the hole but there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Everybody’s trials are different but we all have them. When we emerge it’s how you carried yourself through it that people remember most.

You, my friend, have carried yourself most admirably. You never lost sight of what’s important and your steadfast faith was an example for us all (and impressive to behold). Thank God Almighty for all he provides. I don’t remember if it was here that I read this old saying but it comes to mind in times like these….

“If you’re gonna pray for taters, you’d better have a hoe in your hand!”

Congratulation MadBrad!!!! The lord always has a plan for us and when one door closes, another will open up for us. All you need to do is keep the faith as you have done. Best of luck!

As with ever, I’ll be right where God needs me to be when he needs me to be there. That said, any prayers thrown my way would be warmly welcomed.

Congratulations, MadBrad! Nota-You’re in my Family’s Prayers!

Brad, I’ve see the video of that church several times and it always moves me. I regret that we weren’t able to go to services when we all were in Memphis.
