“I don’t always hunt, but when I do…. I like to put 30 rounds in that sucker!” — Sarcasm.

I make fun of it because of this picture from American Conservative page on FB:

I am all about the 2A Right to Bear Arms and the reasons behind it. I spent 32 years in the Army/Navy defending that right, along with all the others.

National Media (never happen) needs to recap FAST AND FURIOUS.

  3. Uke says:

Oh damn! This is the second time that RD has come up with a point to defend our values that I haven’t thought to make. Bravo, great spot.

Their blindness lies in how people believe that the US is somehow immune to potential, future dictatorial overreach. As is so often the case, there is a double standard for the US and the rest of the world. The rest of the world is routinely in turmoil and sporadic coups and revolution; the US, however, is somehow immune from its governments getting power hungry, and thus we shouldn’t even touch on the thought that we might ever have to oppose said governments.

This is reflected by Piers Morgan’s tone at the end of his interview with Ben Shapiro. If you recall, he ended the interview smugly after Ben implied that the US government could someday become tyrannical if we don’t guard against it.

For all the leftist cries about questioning authority in the 60′s and during GWB, they seem pretty adamant about the impossibility of the US government becoming tyrannical now. Funny, eh?

    • R.D. Walker says:

      Slavery
      Trail of Tears
      Japanese-American internment
      Jim Crow

      Yeah, we’re immune to tyranny.

      • locke n load says:

Need I remind you of Wounded Knee?

        • Rockheim says:

Now now you two.. that was a much younger, less civilized United States.. that would NEVER happen again in this enlightened time…

          • empty pockets says:

Right you are, Rockheim. That’d NEVER happen in todays enlightened USA.

You know, I used to hear about some stupid thing or other being considered by some elected and I’d say, “they’d never DO that”. And that used to be mostly true.

I’ve stopped saying that now. Seems there’s NOTHING “they”, those in this regime and their minions, won’t do to advance their agenda and tyranny. In fact the biggest difference between this current regime’s power grab and our earlier progressives is this current bunch is a lot more in-your-face about it.

How many times has the Community Organizer in Chief (nice way of saying troublemaker) hid behind women and children when deigning to speak to we mere mortals about something “controversial”? He’s going to do it again today or whenever he announces his unconstitutional executive orders. So he doesn’t appear to be any more “enlightened” than the scumbag cowards who do the same thing in the middle east, does he?

So we add to his list of “attributes”.
Narcissist, incompetent, indecisive, communist, lazy, greedy, and now we add…coward.

  4. Greg B says:

As you have pointed out on more than one occasion R.D.,
NEED is not part of the equation.

    • locke n load says:

As Mark levin would say, “its not the bill of Needs, its the bill of Rights”

And I’m still amazed how few people understand that

  5. Tony says:

This will get me labeled racist but here goes. If I am hosed up I would rather find it out here. No one would argue that a black individual is more genetically predisposed to commit murder then a white individual. The FBI reported in the 2011 Uniform Crime Report (Expanded Homicide Data Table 3) that as a minimum 37.7% of all murders are committed by blacks. Per Wikipedia blacks constitute 13% of the population. When 13% of the population commit 37% of all murders President Obama has social problems he needs to be dealing with instead of trying to take my rifle.

    • Rockheim says:

You are both right and wrong in the same post. The first part being completely and utterly wrong. There is nothing about any “race” that makes them “predisposed” to violence. There is no “hood rat” or “thug” genetic marker. Blacks are no more predisposed to violence or murder than any other human being on the plant. So.. No.. Completely wrong and rejected out of hand as a causal fallacy. Just because blacks commit more crimes in certain areas does not mean that blacks are GENETICALLY predisposed to violence and crime.

Now. Where you ARE correct is in the social aspect. Through poverty, decades of social engineering, being sheilded from accountability, coddled and pandered to while destroying any vestige of legitimate community or family we have created large pockets of people who ARE prone to violence and outright tribalism. And who, due to the circumstance and location of their birth, are likely to continue down that path and reinforce it.

      • notamobster says:

Rock – I think you misread his intent. Let’s try it again with my words [INSERTED]:

No one would [MAKE THE ARGUMENT] argue that a black individual is more genetically predisposed to commit murder then a white individual.

Tony – When you preface your statement with “This will get me labeled racist but here goes.” and use dubious wording, it tends to make you look, well, racist. :-)

      • Tony says:

My argument was that the black man was not more genetically disposed. This is want I typed
“No one would argue that a black individual is more genetically predisposed to commit murder then a white individual.” As in no one would argue that point.

        • notamobster says:

Yay! I was right about Tony’s intent!

        • Rockheim says:

Yup.. Completely misread that. Sorry ’bout that.. Been involved with a couple other boards where there are a few members who believe that there is a genetic link between blacks and violence and blacks and low IQ/inetellectual potential. I let my past experiences influence the way I read that. Apologies all around :)

  6. JJ says:

So there is a pattern to the administrations behavior? I wonder when do we start getting our shipments of M4′s or AK’s? Is there special paperwork from the State department or from BATFE? Do we have to apply directly to Hillary or Holder? I’m assuming in North America it has to go to Holder, but outside the US it would go to Hillary. Do they supply ammunition and magazines with the arms they are supplying or do the local freedom fighters have to provide their own?

    • notamobster says:

Yeah folks, unless you’re a member of a radical islamist terrorist organization or a death-dealing Mexican drug cartel you can forget getting any special weapons treatment from Obyssmal.

  7. Jim22 says:

Consistency is not one of Obama’s strong points. He almost always says one thing and does something else. Once we understand that, accept it, and explain it to others, we can all stop pointing out his fraud. It’s a lot more productive to take the high ground and work toward the success of the country.

  8. Juanito says:

“Obama supported civilian uprisings against tyrannical governments in Egypt, Libya and Syria and yet argues that no civilian needs a military style weapon.”

That’s all that needs to be said at all.
