Here is a point that I offer for your consideration.
How many millions of $$$ of sales for these purchases?
State, city and all local sales taxes were paid on these purchases, the federal government did not get a dime!
Is the current roar from our government about protecting our safety (GAG!) or about trying to tax sales that they don’t have a finger in?
That 4.7 million figure only represent NICS checks. A great many of these checks bought more than one gun! Remember that.

you don’t only have account for multiple purchases on a single background check, you have to consider all of the people who use their CCW in lieu of a background check. It’s safe to say the number of actual sales is at least double the number of background checks. That’s a metric sh*t ton of guns!
