New York passes toughest gun law in nation

Basically, any rifle or shotgun with a pistol grip is now illegal. Period. So is any magazine that holds more than seven rounds; pistol or rifle. You have a year to destroy them or sell them out of state or you are a criminal.

This is what what passes for a Republican in New York.

“It is well-balanced, it protects the Second Amendment,” said Senate Republican leader Dean Skelos of Long Island. “And there is no confiscation of weapons, which was at one time being considered.

“This is going to go after those who are bringing illegal guns into the state, who are slaughtering people in New York City,” Skelos said. “This is going to put people in jail and keep people in jail who shouldn’t be out on the street in the first place.”

I suppose the good news is a lot of used rifles, shotguns and magazines will be hitting the market in Free America.

So, slaughtering people with an illegal gun in NYC wasn’t a crime before? It’s about time! Thank you government!

If Cuomo thinks that a year hence there will a significant drop in the number of firearms in NY accompanied by a significant increase in the number of ploughshares, he’s bound to be disappointed. I predict instead that there will be an awful lot of gun owners who seem to have misplaced their “assault” rifles, “high capacity” magazines, and other firearms and accessories.

Hopefully garbage legislation like this will provide the impetus for manufacturers like Remington to pack up and leave the state for a friendlier location.

Kimber has their manufacturing in yonkers. Do they need an engraved “fuck off” card? Bring the gun and ammo plants down here. Texas and OK are both right to work states and offer tax incentives and a labor force who know how to work.

They can simply park in Indiana here.. We’ll be more than happy to have them..

Utah would be happy to welcome them too. Right-to-Work state, good labor force, and hallowed birthplace of St. John Moses Browning.

It’s a good thing that I got rid of my full auto nerf guns with pistol grips!

  5. RJ Murphy says:

Santa gave my grandson a full auto nerf gun for Christmas. The very first shot he nailed me in the forehead from about 10 yards away.

Remington needs to close the factory in Ilion.

Same goes for IL, CT and MA firearms manufacturers. They are welcome to relocate in any of the many states in Free America.
