Leftists & Bureaucrats Would Rather You Let The Boy Die

Not the same boy.

Not the same boy.

After all, it’s not really a life if it can’t survive on it’s own. This man used a gun to defend a boy who was being attacked by pitbulls. DC police are investigating whether or not to charge him with multiple felonies. What a twisted world we live in.

[…]The incident unfolded Sunday afternoon, after three pit bulls attacked an 11-year-old boy as he rode his bicycle through the Brightwood neighborhood of Northwest, according to a police report.

When the man, a neighbor, saw the boy being mauled by the dogs, he went inside his home and got a gun. The man killed one of the dogs. The gunfire attracted the attention of a police officer in the area near Eighth and Sheridan streets, where the attack occurred. The officer responded and shot the other two pit bulls as they continued to attack the boy.

The police report, which did not identify any of the people involved, said the boy suffered severe lacerations. The Washington Post, which first reported the details of the shooting, quoted the boy’s uncle as saying the boy was also shot in the foot.

Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said Wednesday that the entire case, including whether the man legally owned the gun he used to kill the dog, is under investigation[…]

The man could face a host of charges depending on the specifics of the case, including whether the gun used is a registered firearm that the man was legally permitted to own, Mr. Gross said. Possession of an unregistered firearm or ammunition is punishable by up to one year in prison and a $1,000 fine, and determining whether the man legally possessed the gun used will likely have greater bearing on the way the case is handled, Mr. Gross said[…]

Also to be taken into consideration is whether the man was within his property line when he fired the weapon — a small but significant distinction. Mr. Gross said it could mean the difference in whether he could be charged with carrying a pistol without a license.

I would like to know who caused the hole in the boy’s foot. It would be interesting to find out if it was the police officer’s errant shot.

Now woudn’t that change the scenario? Funny how “conveniently” the cops can sometimes scew the forensics to play in their favor.

      • BigJimTX says:

Like when the ME from Sandy Hook said that the wounds were definitely made by the rifle, and didn’t just specify a caliber? There is a HUGE difference between the wounds from a 5.56 vs a 9mm or greater. Now we hear (again) that the rifle was in the trunk and wasn’t used in the school.

Or how the NYPD wounded a bunch of people on the street when shooting at a gunman that didn’t wound anybody but his initial victim?

Nothing to see here folks. Move along.

If there is a news report later than mid-December that says the rifle was in the trunk of the car, I haven’t seen it. Every report since about December 17 has said the rifle was in the school… right?

Just looked again at what I read and checked dates. Recycled news. Sorry for the misleading info.

And yet another case against controlling magazine capacity . . . do we really want government telling us how many rounds are sufficient for killing an attacking pit bull?

  4. Frank in Texas says:

Moral of the story: Better to let the pit bull maul the little boy to death than use your weapon to save him.
What is this country coming to when something like this happens and the apparent hero of the situation is considered a law breaker.

  5. David Lytle says:

Maybe they just have to list Everything about the case and when it comes down to it, they will just throw it out of court. What kind of judge could find this person in the wrong here? Maybe they take his gun away and let him register it legally and give it back to him. The guy should get a medal.

If there be a defense fund for this guy, let me know so I can donate!

I would have shot all three dogs for sure. Speaking of Sandy hook School Pete Williams of MSNBC stated that several Federal and State officials had inform them that four handguns were recover inside the Sandy Hook School. He said there were four hand guns only Pete Williams said but later when the government wanted to capitalize on this everything changed. Strange huh. Too many red flags for me. You know the last four years have been red flag years too even further back in time than four years are red flags. Obama is Gun Saleman of the year for two years straight now. You know also that Connecticut and Alaska are the only two states without county sheriffs departments.

I’m not sure which pisses me off more, stupid bleeding assholes who keep pitbull dogs, or stupid bleeding assholes who want to prosecute the guy who saved the kid’s life.
