Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) is worth a look. She is pro-gun, pro-Keystone XL, and pro-economy. She says that the economy should be their #1 priority and guns should be handled first through the mental health angle. I can get behind anybody that stands to be a reasonable human being; I don’t care what letter is behind their name.

Oh don’t worry. Someone will get to her. After her comments about how the “assault weapons ban” mentioned by the president was “extreme”, she later backed off on it. Someone already got to her on that issue. She does have an “A” rating from the NRA however.
It’s just a matter of time when her views will be the exact opposite than what they are today. I hope not.
I see a lobotomy in her future if she remains our kind of “normal”.
