I suggest she lose some weight and practice sprinting because running away is the only defense the gun grabbers believe she needs.
So. The second cop comes in with pistol drawn, lays it on the table unattended while he cuffs the bad guy, leaving it accessible to the woman? Then he escorts her out and leaves it on the table?

I noticed the helpless Judge, too. I cannot fathom going through life with paralyzing fear as my response to danger. The concept is completely foreign to me… Guaranteed – that judge is a liberal.
