Gallup Lists Most Liberal and Conservative States

The lists…

Might have to move the Revo Compound to Sweet Home Alabama although I am really more of a Wyoming sort of guy.

Texas doesn’t make the list. Neither does Illinois.

Before Bman starts spouting off about NoDak, I’d like to point out that he lives so close to Minnesota that he is caught in the gravitational pull of its liberalism. Move to Bismark and I will be impressed. πŸ™‚

This list is meaningless if California is not on the liberal list.
Just what do they think they are measuring here?

  2. Notamobster says:

    Illinois & commiefornia?

  3. PhoneGuy says:

No sign of California on the list makes my home state of Massachusetts #1 (we all must agree that D.C. is not a state, right?). It’s always a challenge being a conservative in liberal land but it also makes for great conversations as well. It’s always funny to run into like minded people and then watch their expression when they find out I’ve lived in Massachusetts all my life.

And if you want the perfect model of liberal failure, just look at New Hampshire and Maine as Massachusetts folks move there to avoid all the problems their liberalism created here…high taxes, too much government intervention, runaway government spending, a bullying teacher’s union with no accountability, out of control school spending and more. Now both NH and Maine are turning blue and wondering why their states are moving into debt while their new neighbors what their guns, don’t think the should be able to use their property as they see fit, etc., etc.

I blame the Massholes. Much as you indicate, us native New Hampshirites are pretty solidly conservative/libertarian. We live by the state motto, but the transplants from Massachusetts don’t get it.

They move here for the low taxes, lower cost of living (comparatively speaking), and whatnot. Then they impose all their ideals, regardless of the cost to liberty or wallet, never seeing how their utopian ideals are what drove them out of Massachusetts in the first place.

I will have you know, that the part of Minnesota that I live so close to, is full of conservative Hanyaks. The further one is away from The Cities, the more conservative the place is. I’m about a 4 1/2 hour drive from there. It’s safe here.

  5. Eddie Willers says:

AR tied for 10th place, not bad. Maybe when our legislature passes the conceal carry in church bill, we can bump Nebraska to 11th.

  6. PhoneGuy says:

Anyone know a good real estate agent in Alabama?

  7. Gus Girnus says:

I live in eastern WA. and let me tell you, the commie liberal cesspool that is the I5 corridor, is no representation of the real Washington State. We’re just waiting for Mt. Rainier to blow.
