This is an example of how things are supposed to work out. A girl’s basketball coach was doing his job. He was escorting two players to their cars after a game when they were accosted by two young men with a gun. He shot them both, killing one.

This was not a tragedy all the way around. The tragedy would have been if the coach and his charges had all been murdered by the thugs.

I love the last comment by the blow-dried talking head: “Unexplainable”. Actually it’s very explainable. Two jackasses thought they could deprive other citizens of their rights to safety and property because they had illegally obtained a gun. The two jackasses then acted on that thought and discovered that other people can have guns, too. Both jackasses were shot for doing something dangerous and criminal and one jackass died and the other jackass is severly wounded and may not live. Explained pretty freakin’ clearly to me. Moral of the story: Don’t be a criminal jackass or you run the distinct risk of being killed for it.
