Piers Morgan Shoots Guns

While Piers is doing the shooting and the firearms expert is doing the explaining. I think we are winning the arguement. That doesn’t mean he’ll change his mind.
He will now be a self-proclaimed gun expert.
I can see it now “I’ve fired these weapons. I’ve shot automatic rifles, which I could go o the store & buy. Why does anyone need such powerful rifles?”
. I know shooting the m2 gave the little faggot a boner! The gunsmith should have got him admit it on camera.
“Of all the arguments to have one of these [AR15], home defense is probably the least plausible . . .” Well, if the only two arguments for having one are 1) it’s for home defense, and 2) because there exists a 2nd amendment and I feel like having one, then . . . yeah, I guess that’s the least plausible argument.
That’s an awful lot of stupid to cram into a 12 minute segment, but Piers manages to do it.
What a fine spokesman Jeremy is for gun owners. I find most people that are involved with guns to be the same; level-headed, logical, and calm about weapons.
Agreed, Jeremy presented himself well. Piers was quite obviously disappointed that he was unable to goad him into saying something inflammatory or acting crazy. I’m sure that Piers, as this was quite obviously his first time around guns, was also quite surprised to discover that they don’t use cutouts of small children for targets at the range.
I would have hoped that Jeremy had made the distinction that it was not a “modified AR-15″, but was legally manufactured to be an M-16 before 1986.
It also would have been nice to throw a bolt action .300 Win Mag up to Piers shoulder after he said the AR was a “high-powered” rifle.
I would donate a .375 H&H Magnum to the cause.
More than 3 times the energy of a 5.56 round. If you shoot .375 H&H without a padded buttstock, you are going to have a bad time.
I guess it is just lost on me why anyone cares what this man says. Why do big names in the gun community keep going on his show which has an average of 17 viewers each evening…and dropping everyday? If we gun supporters would ignore this moron, his show would be off the air in about a month because there is no one else watching him.
I agree. The only reason Morgan has adopted his anti-gun posture, besides being a foreigner who doesn’t understand Americans, is because the position is controversial. He then takes it a step further by insulting those who disagree with him.
It’s not bringing him more viewers. In fact the opposite is happening. Why would pro-gun people go on his show and help boost his ratings? It makes no sense. Without them he would just be another ranting idiot.
It was a good opportunity to advertise his business, like he doesn’t have enough already!
I found myself in a traffic jam today. No movement for almost an hour so finally I hoofed it almost a mile to see what was causing the gridlock. Police were controlling a huge crowd watching some A-hole with a gas can in one hand and a road flare in the other. One of the policemen told me it was Piers Morgan… upset about the lack of enthusiasm for stricter gun laws and threatening to set himself ablaze if people continue to ignore the problem.
The officer said “He’s demanding donations to bring more attention to the cause. How much would you like to donate?”
My response? “I can spare 5 gallons”.
I’d throw gas on that fire.
