White House: Drone Strikes on American Citizens ‘Legal, Ethical and Wise’

So let’s review Obama Administration policy.

Policy #1: Extrajudicial killing of American citizens in drone strikes is “Legal, Ethical and Wise” and a fair means to protect the US against attacks.

Policy #2: Pouring water on the face of, but not injuring, an enemy combatant who was the leader of al Qaeda who masterminded 9/11 in order to protect the US against further attacks is a “crime against humanity”.

Seems a little confusing, huh?

Confusing is not the term I would use. I can think of others that better describe the Obama administration. A few: Inconsistent, Illogical, Scary stupid, just Scary.

I’m sure others can do better than me. That’s just my first take during my first coffee.

Criminal, unethical, immoral, dishonorable, unscrupulous, disreputable, unprincipled, corrupt, sinful, vicious, vile, wicked are a few of the words that come to mind regarding this administration not just in this case but in everything they attempt to do. This deceitful, mendacious, unreliable, untruthful mouthpiece who stands before us and spouts every lie he can think of to further the aims of this administration should be pilloried for what comes out of his mouth. Nixon was a piker compared to this bunch of thugs.

So, to summarize this press conference in which reporters speak truth to power and hold the administration accountable for faithfully executing the law . . .

Reporter: Yes, Mr. Carney, why does the President feel it’s appropriate to target and kill American citizens with drone strikes, with virtually no oversight?

Carney: Well first of all, let me assure you that the President takes his job very seriously, and everything he does is consistent with the Constitution. These drone strikes of American citizens which occur without oversight are legal, ethical, and wise.

Reporter: Alrighty then, good enough for me, let’s move on.

So, if you are an athlete using illegal substances or caught up in a scandal about a fake girlfriend, the press is all over it, digging to uncover the minutest detail of an inconsequential event. Fast and Furious, Benghazi or illegal drone strikes against Americans? Move along, nothing to see here.

Obama also killed Ahmed bin Ali Jaber who was an outspoken critic of Al Qaeda in Yemen. Oh yea, he killed the Yemeni police officer who was protecting Jaber from the Al Qaeda folks with whom he was arguing. A clergyman and a cop, both of whom were in our side. I hope this does not get out. Remember how embarrassing it was when Dick Cheney accidentally shot his hunting partner.
