Open Question For The Forum

Given the current President’s predilection toward appeasement, overt support for the Muslim Brotherhood, abandonment of Israel, fundamental lack of understanding with regard to foreign relations, and general disdain for America:

Should the U.S. Senate allow a Muslim convert to be the next Director of Central Intelligence?

A simple yes or no will suffice. If you’d like to explain, I’d prefer that. I want to have an open, honest discussion about this issue.

This issue is tough for me. I want to follow my libertarian side and say “live & let live”. Then, my military mind says “Whoah, Spaghetti! Wait just a damned minute!”

I believe in the fundamental principle that each man is free to live his life as he sees fit, but where is the line drawn when the risk could carry such catastrophic consequences? I don’t want to trade that man’s liberty for security, but I know what the Qur’an & hadiths say.

Just being a Muslim doesn’t doesn’t mean he’s a radical, but it absolutely softens our intelligence gathering. What if he is (I’m not saying he is), but what if he is a radical? Imagine the position he could put our nation in…

  2. R.D. Walker says:

No. Not because there should be a religious test but because Islam by its very nature requires all other loyalties be subordinated. We are at war with Islamic radicals. There is no “render unto Caesar” in Islam. For the record, I wouldn’t have supported a Russian Nationalist in that role during the Cold War either.

There is no “right to be head of the CIA.” From a percentage stand point, virtually no one gets to be Director of the CIA. You pick the best person for the job and there is no Affirmative Action involved.

  3. TN-Cat says:

Ill throw in my hearty FUCK NO! We have spent over a decade and countless lives fighting this ideaology. Call it whatever you want, but being Muslim is not a religion. It is 100% forced ideology by any standard.

To have someone in that position that follows that ideology is tucking insane. It would be like having a communist as president.

  5. John B. says:

No and Hell No! If push came to shove I would put my God before my government. Why expect less from him?

  6. James says:

No. There should be no political correctness when selecting a wife, either.

  7. Greg B says:

    Not just no.
    Hell fucking no.
You think Holder was bad giving a pass to the NBP?
And anyone else he considers “his people”.
Imagine what this compromised SOB would do.
Probably make agents give terrorist working bombs during investigations.

  8. BaconNeggs says:

    Its a matter of trust.
In an ideal world no one should put their religion above the good of the country they take an oath to serve, be it Christian, Muslim or whatever.

But knowing what Islam and the Koran represents and a grown intelligent man making a conscious decision to become a Muslim in this time, does not fill me with confidence, therefor I would say given the current state of Global Terrorism, hell no.

That said, as Islam is built on a foundation of deception and lies, maybe a Muslim is the ideal candidate in an organization built to deceive others and gain their trust and confidence.

  9. Greg says:

    Agree with RD.
Wasnt Major haddeed or whatever the fukc his name was, a convert also?

  10. JCT says:

Yes, if confirmed the Senate. The CIA Director is a Presidential nominee and it doesn’t matter if he is Lutheran, Catholic, Mormon or Muslim. Additionally, as shown in the case of the most recent CIA Director, the Agency can reject them.

I would prefer that the President nominate different folks for SecDef, CIA, SecState, SecInterior and Federal Judges, but he was elected by the majority of Americans and is afforded his choice, subject to confirmation of the Senate.

Law implementation, with resultant promulgation of rules, is eroding our society…who would have thought!?!

  11. BarbaCat says:

    Absolutely NO!

We already have one commie too many.
We don’t need a Koran embracer too.
America is slip-sliding away fast enough as it is, without pushing it faster.
    IMHO, that is…

The following things prescribe this individuals behaviour as head of the CIA:
    1) He’s born an American
    2) He lives, works, and benefits from, being born an American
    3) As American born a bred, he represents Americans
    4) As an American, he represents America
    4) Assuming the Head of the CIA, As an American, his honor bound duty and honor require he act in the defense of America, Americans and everything about America.
    5) Should he recite an “Oath of Office” he has both a duty and fiduciary responsibility to utilize and employ all American “assets” in the best interest(s) of America and Americans.
Should this appointee decide to act and display controversial and questionable acts of judgment and lapses of decision-making, his “tour of duty” as head of the CIA should be suspended forth with. He’s an American, working for and representing America and Americans…period. He’s not being asked to represent foreign governments, heads-of-states or religious entities.Pray. Amen.
