On October 3, 2009, Former Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha displayed extraordinary heroism through a day-long engagement with the enemy at Combat Outpost Keating in Afghanistan. During the fight, Staff Sgt. Romesha killed multiple enemy fighters, recovered fallen Soldiers and led multiple recovery, resupply, and counter attack operations.
