Americans Sure Do Love Guns Under Obama

There have been 65,376,373 background checks completed for Americans purchasing firearms since February of 2009, the first full month of Barack Obama’s presidency.

According to data compiled by the FBI, the number of Americans purchasing guns has skyrocketed since Obama was elected.

This totals 65,376,373 background checks completed since President Obama’s first full month in office, or 44,748 background checks per day!

By comparison, the number of background checks in Obama’s first term is 91.1% higher than President George W. Bush’s first-term total of 34,214,066

These are just the BG checks. There is no telling how many weapons were purchased with each check.

Assuming 1 gun per background check and 40% of total sales being performed with no background check via the gun show loophole (play along now), that comes out to 109 million sales, or 74,540 gun sales per day! That’s what I call stimulating the economy! The greatest gun salesman of all times.

      I love it! Nicely done.

“Because, you know, the kids.” Classic!

I bought several up-close & personal, intermediate, and longer range weapons since Obama was elected.

I sold them all to that one guy, out of grief, “because, you know, the kids”. πŸ˜‰

Before Newtown, I bought my son a child sized .22 at the Bass Pro Shop in Des Moines. While I was there, I looked at handguns. They probably had 400 or so on display.

Today I stopped to buy a gift for my adult son at that same Bass Pro Shop. In those display cases, they probably had 20 guns. All of the rest of the little handgun stands were empty. They only guns they had were obscure things way too large to carry.

They also had very few rifles. Mostly what they had on display was shotguns. It was amazing.

Same down here in lower Alabama, RD. My brother in law didn’t believe that they were out of almost everything. he said it kind of scared him to go in and see that. he also asked “who has all those guns now?” good question.

My actual brother answered that after his last trip to the range. since sandy hook there are a bunch of people who don’t normally have guns that do, and he said he won’t go back the the range for a while because of all the folks that don’t seem to know what they are doing with them. he said he felt nervous he might get shot on accident the whole time. it is crazy

I have only had one BG check but have purchased 2 weapons. i imagine i am more of the rule than the exception. id say that number is a bit short of the actual.
