    Obama on SOTU…

“Already, the Affordable Care Act is helping to slow the growth of health care costs.”

    See? Bullshit.

  2. Bman says:

Raising the national minimum wage to $9 an hour? Why not $15 and hour? Or better yet, $100 an hour? That way, everyone will be wealthy.

    • RevoGirl says:

Cool…if you did that I could afford to buy my own phone!

      • R.D. Walker says:

If you do that, phones will be $5,000.00.

      • Bman says:

And buy your own minutes with unlimited sext messages. Want the newest app that will allow you to count the calories on a food item by simply taking a picture of it? Sure! All yours! Free!

        • RevoGirl says:

Most of the people I have met with “Obama” phones don’t really care how many calories are in their Tahitian Treat or their Popeyes Chicken.

          • Bman says:

To be fair, that phone program was put in place in 1984. Just saying folks. Of course, they didnt give cell phones out in those days. It started as a lan-line program.

            • notamobster says:

The key to understanding the Obama-phone issue in the proper context is understanding that people’s perceptions are often-times their reality.

The woman in the (now infamous) video, gave the phone program it’s name. No conservatives were calling it an Obama-Phone prior to the video which clearly shows that this woman (and ostensibly, many like her) think that Barack Obama is responsible for her getting a free cellphone.

Her perception, though dim-witted, is still her reality. To exploit her fallacious belief that Barack Obama gave her a free phone by pointing to an entitlement class who votes based on what can be given them for free, is completely in-bounds. Fair game, if you ask me.

              _ _ _ _ _

He is right about the program. Our government has been subsidizing phone service for decades.

Just because they’re offering cellphones now, doesn’t make it Barack Obama’s fault. Her believing, however, that it’s Barack Obama’s doing and voting for him based on the free swag that she believes he gives her, does put the impetus of moral responsibility squarely on the shoulders of those who support these handouts.

Barack Obama absolutely supports these handouts, thus – ipso facto – carry the “1″ – and it’s entirely fair to criticize him for supporting the entitlement society that creates buffoons like the woman in the video.

  3. Bman says:

Is the right to vote under attack??

  4. notamobster says:

DO WHAT I WANT – OR I WILL DO IT MYSELF

The cowards in congress won’t do anything to stop him. He is Hitler on the rise! The American people are so fed up with their congress, that most won’t care. This is why I can’t take it, tonight! I’m done with the news. Goodnight, my friends.

President Barack Obama is telling Congress that he will take action to combat climate change if lawmakers don’t do it themselves.

In his State of the Union address Tuesday, the president said Congress should write legislation that would give polluters market-based incentives to reduce the emissions blamed for global warming. He said if lawmakers don’t do that, his administration will craft executive actions that would cut pollution, help get communities ready for the effects of climate change and encourage increased use of cleaner sources of energy.

  5. R.D. Walker says:

Tonight, let’s declare that in the wealthiest nation on Earth, no one who works full-time should have to live in poverty, and raise the federal minimum wage to $9.00 an hour. This single step would raise the incomes of millions of working families.

Nope. There will be a commensurate increase in prices you fucking econ-muggle..

  6. R.D. Walker says:

Bronco must figure gun control isn’t even going to get a floor vote.

Police chiefs are asking our help to get weapons of war and massive ammunition magazines off our streets, because they are tired of being outgunned.

Each of these proposals deserves a vote in Congress. If you want to vote no, that’s your choice. But these proposals deserve a vote. Because in the two months since Newtown, more than a thousand birthdays, graduations, and anniversaries have been stolen from our lives by a bullet from a gun.

    • R.D. Walker says:

I never use massive ammunition magazines. I always use standard 30 round magazines.

If they are “weapons of war” and need to be off our streets, I assume the police are going to give up their military style weapons too. I mean, who are the police at war with?

    • R.D. Walker says:

For the record, my weapons and magazines haven’t outgunned, undergunned or evengunned police anywhere at any time. Why do mine have to be banned?

  7. R.D. Walker says:

Again, all of my comments were from reading the transcript. I can’t watch Jug Ears speak that long.

  8. Greg B says:

I feel like hell and couldn’t stomach watching that asshole.
Of course, I can’t stand it even when I’m not sick.

  9. Bman says:

Chuck Daniels once said in a song, “Now they’re trying to take our guns away and that would be just fine. If you take them away from the criminals first I’ll gladly give you mine.”

If you have a 30 round magazine….you just might be a criminal.

Naw. I disagree with ‘Ol Charles on that one.

  10. notamobster says:

I just excoriated some simple-minded retard on facebook for saying to a friend of mine: “C’mon Buzz, these are 40 hr working people who also qualify for the welfare you so despise. $9 an hr is a fair working wage.”

Blood psi is through the roof with all of the stupidity. I’m really getting off here, now. Damnit! On the bright side, the state of California’s union just got a tad brighter when the SBCSO burned that cop-killing piece of shit alive in that cabin. Sweet dreams.

    • R.D. Walker says:

Because raising minimum wage just congers up wealth out of thin air. Because prices never increase due to increases in labor costs. Because companies never trim headcount when labor costs go up.

Minimum wage increases just make Scrooge McDuck spend more of that money he likes to dive into in his giant vault.

      Idiots.

  11. R.D. Walker says:

Let’s see, what did we get tonight? Gun control, increases in cost of labor during a period of high unemployment, global warming fear mongering, class warfare, pandering to women and a massive bureaucratic program for every problem, real or imagined.

    God bless America.

  12. R.D. Walker says:

It was just a disconnected, long ass, ramble of socialistic ideas he and his staff probably dreamed up over doobs and pizza in the wee hours of the morning.

Just another call for increased socialism. Nothing more.

    • Uke says:

He’s gotten predictable. I didn’t watch it but I pretty much pinpointed what it would be going on about.

Of course, the content didn’t surprise any of us that have been paying attention to him for 4+ years already.

  13. John Cox says:

SNL is going to have a time with Rubios response.

  14. Bman says:

What abled-bodied person, who starts a job at minimun wage, work their entire life earning minimum wage? I made minimum wage as a courtesy clerk for the summer at Olson’s grocery store when I was 15. If I was still working at Olson’s today, some 24 years later, still making minimum wage, I would say I was the one who had a serious issue. I have honestly never met anyone who made minimum wage for longer than 3 years or so. maybe I’m just so out of touch with the regular folk out there.
