No gun involved. Good thing the Marine happened along. Chicago is a gun-free zone. The woman would have been raped. If she had had a gun she could have helped herself. She is lucky.
Marine Veteran Stops Rape Attempt Along Chicago Lakefront
A Marine veteran came to the aid of a woman who was being assaulted on the Lakefront Bike Path on Wednesday.
CBS 2’s Susanna Song reports 24-year-old Michael Adams, an East Side resident, was driving south on Lake Shore Drive near 63rd Street Wednesday afternoon, when he saw a young man apparently trying to rape a woman along the lakefront.
He said he thought it was odd when he saw the woman running in typical jogging gear, and a man running right behind her in jeans.

Adams made a U-turn, then saw the man grab the woman, knock her to the ground. Police said the attacker also tried to force the woman’s clothes off.”

In a world without guns, large predatory men can do what they want with women.
Won’t stop them from doing what they want to ANY person smaller or weaker than them. Predators have always preyed on those they perceive that way. The surprise is when that prey turns into someone who can fight back. But what the heck, I guess that the ‘mayor’ and ‘police chief’ in chitown would rather have victims rather than survivors…….
