NYT: Racism In The NFL

Only white people learn things in school?

For decades, hundreds of college players have gathered each year at the N.F.L.’s scouting combine, where their strength is tested, their speed is timed and, in a test to measure their intelligence, they are asked questions like “When a rope is selling 20 cents per 2 feet, how many feet can you buy for 30 dollars?”

That query is part of the Wonderlic Personnel Test, a 12-minute, 50-item quiz that has been used by N.F.L. teams since the 1970s. It is, however, infamously unreliable in predicting football success — forgettable players have scored high, stars low — and there have been quiet concerns that it has a racial bias.”

It’s not the NFL that is racist. It’s the liberals that run universities that lower test scores so blacks can just play ball. No studying, no work on education, just play ball. This is why I think they should be paid in college. The modern day slaveship is the liberal universities forcing no education onto blacks. When the sporting career is over (usually around 30 years old) and the money runs out. Then what?

I worked with a guy who played 8 years in the NFL for the Falcons & Saints. League minimum was $850k/per annum. He was a crane rigger for ten bucks an hour. Then, he got turned out on drugs and arrested on felony drug & weapons charges.

      That’s what happens, then.

Maybe the NFL needs a wise latina woman, with the richness of her experience, to tell them what’s racist and what’s not.
