Senator Boxer Files S 147

Why have we not heard about this before?

To establish minimum standards for States that allow the carrying of concealed firearms.

Three pages long. You can read it here.

“JANUARY 24 (legislative day, JANUARY 3), 2013 Mrs. BOXER introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred
to the Committee on the Judiciary”

“MY” take I think this bill is proposing to take away states rights to “Shall Issue and replace it with a federal “Good & Substantial” definition.”

  1. R.D. Walker says:

    (b) REQUIREMENTS.—In establishing a process to issue permits to carry concealed firearms under subsection 12 (a) a State shall…demonstrate good cause for request…

Right there, all by itself, it would invalidate every single “shall issue” state law in the United States.

What is it about these fucking tyrants that they just can’t leave us the fuck alone? Who the hell does this Californian scrunt think she is to tell the people of, say, Wyoming what they can and can’t carry?

The elected representatives of the people in these states passed these laws. LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!

  2. EastBayLarry says:

They’re coming at us in a hundred ways hoping a few will move the goalposts closer to their aims: Totally subjected citizens

  3. RJ says:

The only thing I can think of is they are pushing and will continue to push till they get a violent response wherein they will promptly state see I told you so, we gotta issue more controls…fucking lunacy to the tenth power and squared (L10sq)

I know a few gun owners that are for a federal law forcing any state permit to be legal in all states, supposedly this will make it easier for us. I have not been able to convince them any federal advance in laws regarding guns is not good…maybe after reading this they will understand my position in an enlightened frame of mind.

  5. rj says:

Rider , yes recipriocity is good passed at state levels, fed involvement bad…

    • TN-Cat says:

Exactly. I believe my license is reciprocated in 36 states.
As far as the other 14, who gives a shit. Ill visit them if my plane crashes within their borders.

      • Uke says:

Reciprocity all around would be ideal. I have a hard time understanding how carry reciprocity is so controversial, given how drivers license reciprocity is a given… and vehicles are mentioned nowhere in the Bill of Rights (unlike firearms).
