Statistics Weren’t on Your Side

In Colorado, rape victim Amanda Collins testifies that having her concealed firearm with her on campus could have stopped her attacker. Since she is not legally allowed to carry, she had to leave it at home. Colorado state Senator Evie Hudak argued that statistics were not on Amanda’s side and the attacker would have just taken the gun from her. Amanda replied, “He didn’t need my gun, he had his own weapon.”

Just in case you want your blood pressure a little higher:

I’m tired of these ignorant politicians telling us that we have to be willing victims.

Wouldn’t it be poetic justice if Hudak’s daughter, if she has one, were to be raped and beaten in a “gun-free” zone?

Jim, while I appreciate you taking the time to embed the video in this post, I am afraid I couldn’t watch it. I have watched so many of these lib, prog, socialist, communist (but then I repeat myself) screeds that my I.Q. has been lowered by several digits. I am amazed by the inifinitesimal I.Q’s of the voters who would put someone like this in public office. Then again, I guess it is just the same voters who put the SCoaMF in the White House for 4 more years of suffering.

Okay, fine. We should disarm this woman too. Because, you know, somebody is just going to take her sidearm from her and use it against her.

    Right?

Why in the hell are we letting this woman carry a weapon? Don’t they know some big guy is just going to take it from her and use it against her?

What in the hell are we thinking letting this woman have a gun?

  6. BigJimTX says:

I thought it was interesting that she said “for every 1 woman that saved herself with a gun, 83 get hurt by one.” She did not say that 83 get their gun taken from them AND get hurt by one.

For every one woman that avoids being assaulted because she was carrying a concealed weapon, there are 83 that were assaulted because they thought the police would save them.

  7. R.D. Walker says:

I think women should carry Pop Tarts in their purses. Then, in the event of a sexual assault, they could bite the Pop Tarts into gun shapes and scare their assailants into therapy.

For every woman who successfully uses her gun in self-defense, , 816 have an abortion.

For every woman who successfully uses her gun in self-defense, 2615 are injured in car accidents.

For every woman who successfully uses her gun in self-defense,
    185 are bitten by dogs.

For every woman who successfully uses her gun in self-defense, 14 liberals idiots are elected to positions of authority and work feverishly to create more helpless female victims.

    I like this game.

Wouldn’t this be an appropriate instance to invoke the “If only one life can be saved” argument?
