What is the inner circle at the top of the page? Never noticed it before if it was there.

  2. R.D. Walker says:

    Check your email Ken.

  3. R.D. Walker says:

I am pretty sure this is the video Rebecca Black was making a parody of when she made “Friday.”

  4. BaconNeggs says:

Store in UK throw expired food in dumpster bin behind store. Local people go into bin and retrieve expired food only to be charged by the police and prosecuted in court for theft.

This is one of those legally right but morally wrong stories that really make my blood boil.

“…will transfer almost 200 foster care families and the care of roughly 350 children to other Illinois adoption agencies. The Rockford diocese will close more than half of its offices in Illinois and lay off the agency’s 58 caseworkers and employees.”

  6. Jen says:

Is there an application to join the inner circle? :-) If it’s a boys only club then I honestly won’t take offense.

  7. Bman says:

You must go through our hazing ritual first, Jen

  8. Jen says:

Haha! I’m afraid to even ask what that is.

  9. R.D. Walker says:

I am on the road Jen. I will email you when I get home. You are in.

  10. notamobster says:

It involves, two midgets, a chinchilla, and a tub full of raspberry jello… a deathmatch!

  11. Jen says:

Well, I’m in the right state for the jello.

  12. notamobster says:

I’ve been with my employer for 4 months and am being given a crack at running the plant (Plant Superintendent) on June 20th!

  13. Kenneth says:

Fair warning: a deathmatch against a chinchilla is not as easy as it sounds.

  14. Kenneth says:

    Well played, Sir:

  15. notamobster says:

Wow. Ma says “don’t swim in red jello” …

Kenneth says: “don’t fight the chinchilla”…

I guess all I have is the two midgets…

    Anyone?

  16. Kenneth says:

    My thoughts on midgets:

I have wasted many hours of my life watching clips of PIR. That one was gold.

  17. Bman says:

What’s the world record for the tallest midget? Anyone?

  18. Kenneth says:

    4’10″.

  19. notamobster says:

I guess that depends on what your definition of short is: “Anthony”.

    4-1/2″ ?

I’m not sure, but I went to see Bridget the Midget in a strip club, once.

    It was creepy.

Kenneth: I love the Family Guy! I have 7 seasons on my external hard drive. (lots of time offshore)

  20. Kenneth says:

Something dawned on me the other day. There are no ads on the Revo. Not only that, there are no requests for donations, or anything of the like.

Most people who run a site like this do it to try and make a little money on the side. I don’t mind when they do that. If they can cover their grocery bill and provide content and a safe haven for people, that’s all well and good. That’s not happening here.

At a minimum, most sites try to make at least enough to cover their expenditures. Yet there’s none of that going on here either.

RD, to you and anyone else involved in providing the services of the site, thank you.

  21. Jen says:

    Congrats, Nota!

  22. R.D. Walker says:

Great news Nota. Age, experience, guile and motivation beat youth and education every time.
    :-)

  23. R.D. Walker says:

Kenneth: I have considered advertising. So far I have decided not to do it. There are a few reasons why.

    1) I don’t want to have to monitor what we post based on advertiser sensibilities.

    2) We have a bit more fair use protection if no revenues are associated with the site. We have zero revenues.

    3) I am a bit resistant to cluttering the site up.

That said, I appreciate your kind words. Thank you.

  24. TN_Cat says:

Go get em Nota! On the selfish side, it means we will have fewer posts from you. :(

  25. R.D. Walker says:

No doubt. Nota’s unfortunate period of unemployment resulted in a Real Revo bonanza, didn’t it?

  26. R.D. Walker says:

    Child’s play…

  27. BaconNeggs says:

Of course UNCUT (or should it be it …UCUNT) are a bunch of insane commies, but targeting fellow leftist hypocrite “Saint Bono” for not paying his “fair share” of tax on the 80 million a year U2 are pulling, is rather amusing.

  31. Jim22 says:

I love the sexting video. Good man.

  32. notamobster says:

    Thanks Jim!

I’ve been on the road for 2 days…..

Left immediately after work on Friday; drove to Lake Charles, La – then turned around and drove back.

    Power-road-trip.

  33. notamobster says:

Got my daughter, Kelsey, for the summer!

  34. BaconNeggs says:

    Sextexting, Dad goes Bat-llistic!
Thats kind of thing is tough for good fathers to deal with. Sometimes you try to do all the right things and then…

Still sextexting is tame. I live a stone throw from a college and see all kinds of crazy behavious from these “school-women”. If only mum and dad only knew what their little angel is getting up once they leave the house, they would lose their minds.

Today is D-Day one of those important dates that sticks in your mind as a child, and can never be forgotten.

  36. R.D. Walker says:

I was going to write something about D-Day – somebody does every year here – but lately I have been thinking that D-Day in history gets plenty of attention. Let’s not forget that, on the other side of the planet, soldiers, Marines and sailors were fighting for their lives as the Battle of Saipan raged on. It was brutal.

  37. slaphappypap says:

Is it wrong to giggle when I hear “Weiner” every time an anchor says it?

  38. BrunDawg says:

The ISRA (Illinois State Rifle Association) is warning its members to think twice about selecting Chicago as a vacation destination this summer. This warning was issued in response to a recent dramatic upswing in violent crime in the windy city. Most notably is a spate of so-called “flash mob” attacks where as many as two dozen young men ambush and savagely beat their victims before robbing them of their valuables.

  53. R.D. Walker says:

Oops. I meant to respond to your email Jen but spaced it off. I just did.

  54. Jen says:

    Thanks!

  55. notamobster says:

Looks like Kenneth is making a push to knock Locke off of the top ten.

    Good writing, Kenneth.

  56. Kenneth says:

    Thanks, Nota.

Just curious, is there anyway we could get a twiki together on how to put together posts (adding pics, video, etc) and how to manipulate things in comments? Most of what I’ve learned is through trial and error, but it would definitely be nice to have a quick reference tool.

  57. notamobster says:

for posting pictures of any kind (article, comments, etc) you need to “create new” post on the dashboard. You can do what some of the guys do and keep a scratchpad for that purpose.

I just create new and delete it when I’m done.

Upload your pic – copy html and edit the comment you want to put it in. Paste the html code into the comment. (Once your pic is uploaded, it gets stored into the media library and is reusable)

For video, you just get the embed code from the source (usually labeled “embed” or < / > … and paste it into your article, comment, etc. If your source (youtube) has an option to set a custom size, choose width 505. If not, edit the width in both places of the html code to 505, and the height to somewhere around 387-ish, 404, whatever in that range. I usually leave the height where it was.

I am constantly switching back and forth between dashboard and public view for comments, because I prefer the public view, but I like to edit my comments for bold, italics, etc…

Are you on microsoft live? We could do a video, webcam deal sometime this weekend.

That’d be pretty sweet. I’d be glad to help and it’d give us a chance to get to know each other.

I realize that the webcam offer sounds pretty homoerotic, but I swear I won’t take send any pictures of my wiener.

  58. notamobster says:

Oh, and video or pics in the comment section should be set to a width of 350 (or near).

  59. Kenneth says:

Nope, not on Live. Is it a free service, or paid?

  60. notamobster says:

    free. I’m broke folks, main.

  61. R.D. Walker says:

Speaking of Locke, he seems to have gone MIA.

  62. Kenneth says:

Same with AFB. I haven’t seen her in ages.

  63. Air Force Brat says:

    Hi Kenneth. :)

  64. notamobster says:

    Kenneth – you on here? I’m available…

  65. Locke n Load says:

Sorry about going AWOL, didn’t want to risk infecting the Dashboard with anything that shattered my laptop. I got her up and running but just barely stable as I attemted to track nack the attacks. Unfortunately having to use restore points after many of the attacks left me searching for ghosts. The autopsy was inconclusive but what was taken was obvious: all my financial files, excel files, adobe docs, and my entire Revo folder. That last one had me scratching my head for days. maybe I’m just paranoid but to lose that particular folder along with the other stuff was bizzarre.

BTW, I reformatted and cleaned every inch of the boot sector while I was at it. Shouldn’t be any threat carryover.

  66. notamobster says:

AH, welcome back, my friend! Kenneth is about to jack your spot, bro… and I’m encouraging him. (We all know that you love Canada and Mexico more than you do the U.S.) :-)

  67. Locke n Load says:

Yeah, I see he’s been knocking out a bunch recently. Good job Ken. Some good stuff in there even if i didn’t get a chance to say as much these last 2 weeks.
Know what made the whole laptop fiasco even better? Trying to negotiate a refi loan while crisscrossing the country 4 times and repairing a clutch fan, a water pump, 2 thermostats, and an axle’s worth of brakes, drums, etc. All while dodging the countrywide DOT fuck-a-trucker-a-thon sweep.
Been a roaring good bit of fun out here.

Just finished the reformat today. Only about 200 updates to go to get my machine back to normal…ugh.

  68. Locke n Load says:

Shoot, btw, congrats on the (possible?) promotion dude! If they know what’s good for them they’ll keep giving you asses to kick.
Damn shame I can’t buy anything but Ford though..those Caddies are getting FAST. When the day comes that the USG divests from everything I’ll reconsider. Still, union ownership at 46% makes my blood boil. Sorry friend but if it comes down to it I’m going to spend my money on a non union shop :(

  69. notamobster says:

I WON’T EVER GIVE A PENNY TO GM OR CHRYSLER!

I don’t give a damn if they pay every penny, plus interest back. Not a penny!

You ain’t hurtin my feelings. I vote with my dollars, cuz… and socialism just ain’t my bag.

Bored and drinking. Watching Nill Maher for the first time in many, many months… He has Jane harman, Jeanene Garantula, some guy from “The Atlantic”, and some other liberal broad (Sharon Waxman – http://www.thewrap.com ). Hmmm…. something makes me think he’s preaching to the choir.

    I hate this f-king guy.

  73. Kenneth says:

Sorry, Nota. I was out celebrating a birthday in the family. When someone else is paying for the drinks, I’m always there :D

  74. R.D. Walker says:

If you are registered on the Revo and have an Android handheld device, there is a WordPress app in the Marketplace that makes following the posts and comments here very easy. I use it. I am guessing it is available for iPhones too.

  75. Kenneth says:

Yup, found it for the iPhone. Gotta wait for the next update though as it’s unusable in its current state. They seem to roll out frequent updates though, so it shouldn’t take too long.

  76. Kenneth says:

    McLaren is next :)

Of couse, being number ten makes me an easy target for Bman, Uke, or LnL to make the easy comeback. Then Jen isn’t all that far behind. Can’t slow down yet I guess, but Sat through tue is hard for me to find time to write.

  77. notamobster says:

    oooh….ouch. :-)

  78. Kenneth says:

As cool as that tattoo is, i can’t imagine getting one on my foot.

  79. Jim22 says:

    Got this today:

    > He grasped me firmly, but gently, just above my elbow and guided me into a room, his room. Then he quietly shut the door and we were alone. He approached me soundlessly, from behind, and spoke in a low, reassuring voice close to my ear.
    >
    > “Just relax.”
    >
    > Without warning, he reached down and I felt his strong, calloused hands start at my ankles, gently probing, and moving upward along my calves, slowly but steadily. My breath caught in my throat.
    >
    > I knew I should be afraid, but somehow I didn’t care. His touch was so experienced, so sure. When his hands moved up onto my thighs, I gave a slight shudder, and partly closed my eyes. My pulse was pounding.
    >
    > I felt his knowing fingers caress my abdomen, my ribcage. And then, as he cupped my firm, full breasts in his hands, I inhaled sharply.
    >
    > Probing, searching, knowing what he wanted, he brought his hands to my shoulders, slid them down my tingling spine and into my panties.
    >
    > Although I knew nothing about this man, I felt oddly trusting and expectant. This is a man, I thought. A man used to taking charge. A man not used to taking ‘No’ for an answer. A man who would tell me what he wanted. A man who would look into my soul and say . . . .
    >
    >
    > “Okay ma’am, you can board your flight now.”

  80. notamobster says:

I was wondering where that was going, Jim. :-)

  81. Bman says:

    I can’t believe she is single…

The women certainly look enslaved. Even mesmerized.

  86. TN_Cat says:

    Brad
Awesome move buddy. The plastic beer cups were a highly secret move until this post. A success rate of 99%.
Where there are plastic cups, a keg is close at hand. Kegs get women naked.

  87. Air Force Brat says:

They get men naked even faster, TN_Cat. :D

  88. TN_Cat says:

Good point AFB. Never paid attention to that detail.

I guess beer in volume is good! Or bad depending on which party takes the walk of shame. :)

  89. TN_Cat says:

Anyone else out there watch the debate?
    Romney is a putz
Bachman held her own. Was very impressed.
    Cain was disappointing.
Paul made a he’ll of a lot of sense
Gingrich is a politician, first, last and everywhere in between.
    Were there any others?

    My one cent worth.

  90. R.D. Walker says:

I was on the road until late so I missed it. Damed day job anyway….

  91. TN_Cat says:

You really didn’t miss much. The moderating was as expected. Questions were designed to paint a certain picture of conservatives in a manner that anyone not up on the topics would find boring.(the typical uninformed American).

I’m sure there will be bits and pieces that get extrapolated and pounced on, but not a whole lot else.

  92. R.D. Walker says:

Even for a political junkie like me, it is a little hard to get excited this early in the game.

  93. TN_Cat says:

    Yeah I know.
Just trying to find a horse. Thought I had one with Cain but I am beginning to question his depth.

At that point I want to do something that matters. Know what I mean?

  94. R.D. Walker says:

Yup. I think they are going to have to dig up Reagan to get me excited. Sigh…

  95. Uke says:

The following comments are based, as much as I can do so, on tonight’s debate performance alone.

Ron Paul struck me as having done exceptionally well. He made a lot of sense, spoke specifically, and was humorous on top of it. What was “weird” in 2008 might actually resonate well this cycle.

Romney talked a good game, and was very polished. I suppose that’s to be expected.

Cain disappointed me a bit. I love his values, but he doesn’t demonstrate in-depth, specific knowledge on several key issues. Are there advisers for that? Of course. But it doesn’t help an election run to just gloss over some key issues people care about.

Bachman was not bad, but she struck me as trying to be very… diplomatic during the debate. I’m not sure how else to describe it. It was sometimes hard to get a straight answer from her.

    Pawlenty… meh.

    Santorum did well, I thought.

Gingrich had several questions that he quite literally blew out of the water, and actually came across as “statesman-like” a few times.

    ***

Clearly too early to call, of course, but my (non-expert) guess is that the rising stocks were Paul and Gingrich, while the falling stock was Cain.

  96. slaphappypap says:

HA! I knew it! On Weiner:

  97. Kenneth says:

Brad, I demand you write a book about your women skills. However, I offer one caveat. If it is not titled MadBrad’s Mad Skillz, I will not read it. That’s Skillz with a Z. If it ends with an S, that’s an automatic rejection.

  98. Kenneth says:

    Test 2:

  99. Kenneth says:

Wtf… I have followed the instructions as far as I can tell to insert a pic and video, but neither works. I’ve got to be doing something wrong. Nota, I definitely need to talk to you on here sometime about this crap.

  100. R.D. Walker says:

It is a two part process. You can only enter that type of HTML from the comment edit screen.
