Remember the drought we had in the Midwest last year? Yeah, that’s over.

That’s good news for grain growers…even better news for all the corn-fed ladies out in them parts.

“State troopers pursued the suspects and engaged in a gunfight in the city of Watertown. Police radio reported use of hand grenades and automatic firearms. One suspect has been captured and is en route to Beth Israel Medical Center. There are currently conflicting reports on whether the second suspect has been captured or not.”

    Wow.

  7. locke n load says:

3:20 am Boston time and they’re still engaged, home to hom sweeps… Calling the suspect Heavily Armed. Yeah, grenades would probably qualify as that, no? Fox is trying to NOT suggest they’re associated with the marathon bombing but you certainly have to wonder. The hurried deportation of that Saudi (brother to 5 AQ operatives) might have spooked compatriots …if there were any.

    • Z says:

      Blaze says:

UPDATE 3:01 a.m. — WHDH, citing a law enforcement source, is reporting that the individuals in the Watertown incident are in fact the suspects in the Boston Marathon suspects. The station reports one of the suspects is “accounted for” and police are currently searching for a second suspect.

The Boston Globe has also reported that the suspects in Watertown are the Boston bombing suspects.

And now also the Huffington Post:

  8. Z says:

UPDATE 3:20 a.m. — NBC is reporting that police have discovered a “pressure cooker” in Watertown, Mass., according to WHDH.

    • Uke says:

I hope they’re not using that as their primary evidence, otherwise I’m gonna have to ditch my pressure cooker.

We had a light dusting yesterday. We are finally starting to see pockets of grass. Spring in NoDak is downright ugly.

  10. R.D. Walker says:

  11. BigJimTX says:

Just saw an article, whose teaser said “you’ll never guess who has fake twitter followers.” It said that BHO has 30 million followers but up to 40% of them are fake.

So I was thinking, Obama got 66 million votes in November of last year and I’ll bet 40% of them were fake too.

    • reboot says:

They need to get the requirement to vote with an ID in more states, or we are fockered. And I mean banana republic fockered, and we won’t be able to recover.

  16. Slaphappypap says:

I don’t like this. I don’t like this at all. This is scary stuff and completely unneeded in America. House to House searches without warrants are a complete violation of the 4th Amendment. Just to look for one lunatic kid. Discuss.

  17. RJ says:

I’m with you Slap, pathetic performance by citizens and police alike.
Those who would give up freedom for temporay safety deserve neither.

Yes there are exceptions to the warrant requirement to conduct searches of homes. Freaking hell no were those exceptions met in that massive police state demonstration.

The officers conducting those searches were wrong plain and simple. I dont believe there is a “well my boss said to do it” exception to the search warrant requirement.

    • R.D. Walker says:

This asshole is informed of the Benghazi attack and promptly goes to bed to rest up for a Vegas fundraiser. They’ve been hemming and hawing ever since… up to and including today. Looks like the survivors have made up their minds that they’re going to be heard… the more these pukes try to shut them I the more pissed off and determined I hope they get.

I can’t wait for the light of truth to shine so we can watch the cockroaches scatter.

Five years ago, Michael contracted a serious bacterial infection that left him in a coma and eventually caused oxygen deprivation to all four limbs. As a last resort, the hospital was forced to amputate. Michael remains quite the athlete. Michael’s brother, Harris, plans to run the 2014 Boston Marathon. They are asking for sponsors to support The Scott Rigsby Foundation.
All money will help provide assistance and prosthesis to those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.

And when KFC offered a “Hillary” meal, consisting of two small breasts and two

Now KFC is offering the “Obama Cabinet Bucket.” It consists of nothing but left
    wings and chicken shit.

Just keeping you up to date…..

R.D., would it be possible to allow users to edit comments (at least for a short duration). I find that my dyslexia and poor typing skills often lead to mistakes. Even though I try to proof read before posting, there’s always something that gets by, especially if using html markup.

    • R.D. Walker says:

We used to have that function but it was such a big, fat, bloated resource hog it sucked the life-force right out of the blog. I will work on an editing solution that is a little more fuel efficient.

remember back in the 70’s when they said the world couldn’t support the population increasing and there would be mass starvation?

and it didn’t happen (much to their dismay) because humans are innovators and the advances in agriculture have increased our yield/acre by double (or more) ?

well. we can’t have THAT now.

    http://farmfutures.com/blogs-report-blames-ag-environmental-woes-6962

“The nutrients we use are an increasing threat and require urgent action, and so a new intergovernmental focus – which as we all know means more regulation – is coming for agriculture from EPA.

The report identifies 10 key actions which are viewed as critical to improving nutrient use efficiency while at the same time reducing nutrient losses that pollute the environment. One chapter is devoted to this issue and is a must read for anyone farming in the United States.

The report is apocalyptic as it relates to agriculture because it points out that since the Mississippi State University’s professors’ efforts to harness anhydrous ammonia, the use of synthetic fertilizers has increased nine fold globally; a 40-50% increase is expected over the next 40 years.

The consequences of inaction, according to the report, will include massive global warming effects which will continue the “…deterioration of water, air and soil quality, shortening human life, while threatening ecosystem services and biodiversity.”

Fannie Mae to make a $59.4B payment to taxpayers

“Fannie Mae on Thursday said it would make a $59.4 billion payment to taxpayers partly as a result of its renewed financial strength, a move that budget forecasters say makes it even more likely that the nation won’t face another deadline to raise the debt limit until around Oct. 1. ”

    Wouldn’t “payback” be more accurate?

And, it’s such good news that the gov won’t run out of money until October. Yay fiscal responsibility.
